How to Make Sugar Rocket - turning sugar into rocket (easy)

In this video, I show you how to turn sugar into rocket fuel and use it in your model rocket.
By combining potassium nitrate and sugar, a fuel can be made that burns quickly and can be used in making rockets.
for the nose cone and fins I have used a 3D printer , which you can make and use with your own creativity.

If you cook the sugar and potassium on low heat, it becomes a brown paste. This is a more effective fuel.

60 years ago me and a friend used to biid this kind of rocket, using a knitting needle removed to get internal burning surface instead of a drilling device... It was really fun !

Used to build rockets using paper mache body baked in the oven. For fuel used salt peter, icing sugar, sulfur and charcoal. Got the recipe out of Popular Mechanics. Sealed the top with wax and nose cone.

If the prepared fuse is wrapped in thin paper, it should burn faster. The enclosed fuse retains more heat forcing it to burn faster. With some trial and error, a desired fuse length can be dialed in. Crushed match heads can also be used. By adding sulfur to the mixture and trading crushed charcoal for the sugar, a form of black powder can be attained.

Funny. When I was a kid, about 15, a fireworks book said get the potassium nitrate from your pharmacy. I walked over and did, and the first thing the guy did was call my parents. They said ‘no problem.’ Of course I used to buy .22 ammo at the hardware store next door., and my dad later bought me a .45 Gold Cup National Match before I was 18, and I shot in matches, showing up alone, where half the guys were cops. Nobody ever said a word. Try that today. Different time, eh?

What if you adjust the cement ratio could that help the trajectory.What about adding a stabilizing fin up top that can add drag but grately improve stability.May help them be more predictable against the different variables.
