I think if you’re pining over someone you should definitely explore the possibility that she may be interested in you. At least you’ll never regret inaction in this instance. Hell, simply talking to the person like a normal human being is a great step to take. Who says you have to confess your love for them? Just hold a conversation with them.

I will say that being constantly rejected is NOT good for your psyche. Being consistently disappointed will turn you into a cynic at some point or another. If this keeps happening to you, it might be time to evaluate why and focus on other things instead of girls, or whatever.
