Believe that double bonded N should be a single bonded NH because the way you have your structure drawn, C has 5 bonds between the new carboxyl and the N. Carbon holds 4 bonds.

On thé thymine, it’s impossible to have a carbone with 5 links.

great lecture .
though one thing you didn't, t cleared . why does cytosine methylation occur in the first place ?
where what went wrong that lead to a problem .
i mean if this cytosine methylation is a normal process of dna methylation then it shouldn't, t cause problem but there must be something went wrong . right ? plz elaborate

Why methlylation occurs more frequently to cytosine and adenine and not to guanine and thymine?

Hello sir,

Sir, does dna Methyalation is a reversible process?

Sir, what is mean by, level of Methyalation of a gene is 50%.,

Sir, does it implies that, the gene is 50% expressed or the gene is partially working?

Thank you sir.

👍🏼💪🏾👑 Top thanks. Good morning, a question please, the methylation and ipermethylation of the DNA can stopped celular neoplastic? SAM ( S- Adenosil Metionina) is it useful, is it good to take 400 mg every day to silence the transcription of cancer? thank you very much.

Great explanation sir...but the cytosine base that you have given...that is in anticlockwise carbon numbering... But purines are basically clockwise carbon numbering...but you have drawn like anticlockwise how ????

could DNA methylation cause changes in our phenotypes?

I guess the thymine molecule only have 1 double bond in the ring. Correct me if I am wrong!

can anyone explain or give clarity on the following ... does any change to typical Purine & Pyrimidine, folate, B6 or B12 pathways during pre or early post natal periods result in heritable genetics that could be passed from that baby should they procreate in later life?
