I stumbled on this remedy by accident and tried it and it worked for me. I'm not sure what was causing the itching though. Add 1 tsp of baking soda to a small glass of water and stir and drink. (I was trying to eliminate my GERD symptoms and found out that it also helps with itching.)

My chronic itching disappeared when I started to eat in an anti-inflamnatory way. I adopted a low carb, high (saturated) fat (LCHF), moderate protein lifestyle and my chronic inflammation (that is what seemed to have been) stopped. My asthma cleared up and my hayfever response to allergens also became much less pronounced. I keep eating this way - my weight is lower and stable and I no longer crave starchy and sugary foods - which left me feeling hungry all the time.

I have visited dermatologist and internist, took antihistamine, applied lotion, got lots of laboratory checks for kidney, lung, pancreas, etc. However, still can not find the cause .

Ladies,

I have had this issue for over 10 years, still no one knows what nor why the continuously scratching, there’s nothing that soothes the pain. Also for the last five years my white blood cells have been higher than normal.

I saw a Dermatologist recently and she said maybe go to a specialist on the fatty liver disease. She just diagnosed me with extra extra dry dead skin from the scratches and scars that I left.

i like the results of vinegar on my scalp to stop the itch, , mould- dandruff likes fat based soap, vinegar is a soap Ph nutralizer, and mould killer, ... also like my new regeim of a bath with only fairy dishwashing liquid as the soap/ bubble bath, , truely leaves my skin quiet, all night, I am now 63, 30 years of itch gone, yeah, I am finally in controll

My doctor gave me gabapentin and it is a wonder drug for the itching. I used to itch constantly with no known reason.

I have been itching all over my body with hives for six years now. No dr find anything not allergic to anything other than animal which I take allergy shots for but this consistently itching is unbearable 😭my allergist put me on xolair and it helps with hives but not the itching
