Getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me. It took me a good minute to see that and realize it but now I'm so grateful. I pray this girl ends up the same 🙏

At least they were given a heads up. Most employers lay you off with no notice.

Two months from now she's going to wonder why she was so afraid. I've been there and things really do get better.

Very warranted fear. We’re all a little bit afraid right now.

I know it’s hard to see right now but you’ll be okay. Hit the ground running, don’t be picky, and work several jobs! Apply for gov assistance, prepare your unemployment paperwork, get your Medicaid/Obamacare application ready! You’ll be okay!

You gotta get out of medical billing, that field is ripe for automation

I was let go the 2nd week of April working from a healthcare software company. It was scary for about a week, but after bringing that fear to God and putting that trust in Him, a lot of that fear went away. First time i've ever been on unemployment and having to swallow my pride to apply for it helped a lot. 3 months later I ended up with another software company and am happy and grateful to be employed again. My advice is to spend 2-4 hours/day looking for jobs and then taking the rest of the day for yourself: putting yourself in the word in prayer, exercising, hobbies (or start one), doing house projects if you can, spending more time with friends and family. If you put make your job, etc first and not God than at some point it will let you down....that is the lesson I learned. Money doesn't buy contentment. This is just a season and you will come out the other side better and stronger.

I know where she's coming from on this one. At my job we were given a 9 month notice though. Didn't make the pain go away, as there were a lot of lifers there who put in a lot of years and didn't know anything else. Starting over sucks but it's what we've got to do.

I dont trust having a car payment and a mortgage with these jobs if you do please have at least 10 thousand dollars for and emergency fund.

Amy, this may be the opportunity of a lifetime for you. In due time, you will find a better job and will get a raise over you previous job. It's been my experience that the ones that jump ship early find the opportunities to do better in life. The ones that stay on the sinking ship go down with it. I've survived several of these buy-outs/take overs/financial panics, etc. I'm praying for you. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

That can be scary, but there is always hope. Continue looking for a job and believing.

Debt free as of today! It feels great. I was 60k in debt. Lots and lots of overtime to get to this point but it was worth it. If I could do it, so can you. Make being debt free your number one priority.
