So the airport was not locked down, nor were aircraft movements all halted. It only takes a few clickbait strikes like this and suddenly ITV YouTube becomes worthless.

Although it's absolutely right to declare emergency and have equipment standing by, one faulty engine is nothing people should be scared about. The plane could have still make it to New York, yet alone land savely in Heathrow. It's a safety percaution. I wish ITV would have emphasized on that instead of fear-mongering.
