It is much easier with a proper technique.

First dont play with rudder pedals while you are on final, by doing that you are creating your own wind and turbulences, it is much easier to aim at the runway with the yoke when the plane doesn't move side to side because of the rudder.

Second, before touchdown or upon touchdown, use downwind rudder to decrab WITH aileron control in order to keep wings level. If you dont use ailerons into the wind, your upwind wing will rise just like in this video. Also, keep the control wheel into the wind after touchdown when the wind is strong. Thats how you will stay on the runway after touchdown.

The reason you went off the runway was because in real life if the wind was like this they would land on the right side of, the runway so they don’t get pushed off. So it doesn’t matter if you center or not. You don’t need to make a smooth landing. I hope I helped you out!

The dangerous part of a challenging cross-wind landing is not the landing itself, it's the ground-roll, after the landing, where you run out of aerodynamic rudder authority as the airspeed reduces, and the weathercock effect causes the aircraft to turn into wind, and thus off the runway. If the brakes are independently operable, then one can use asymmetric (upwind) brake to force oppose this weathercocking tendency, however, I'd not recommend this, as if it goes wrong, they'll throw the book at you, because it's not an approved technique, and you'd only need it if already outside of the cross-wind limit for the aircraft.

Weather conditions: Flights trying to land in adverse weather will often abort, whether due to alignment problems, poor visibility, or heavy crosswinds.
Unstabilized approach: If a flight is having alignment issues with the runway, initiating a go-around and trying again rather than attempting an unsafe landing may be preferred.
Plus the landing gear could've burnt out while on grass
