It’s April 13, 2010, and the captain of Cathay Pacific Flight 780 is at a loss: both his engines have stalled – so how was the plane still approaching the runway over 100 miles faster than normal?

Both Pilots remained calm and everyone on board survived. I would trust these Pilots any day with my family.

These pilots acted brilliantly. I can't imagine having to think under that kind of duress.

The one who recreated this scene deserves an applause. The sweat on pilots' face really got us nervous watching this video.

For those wondering, the issue was contaminated fuel which made engines fail (if I remember well).

Let me preface by saying I am a commercial pilot. More than ever these days, we need the flight engineers back. Planes are more complex and are asked to do more complex things than ever before. Having a third set of eyes and problem-solving skills is crucial. Thank you for your time.

This episode is my favourite out of all 23 seasons. I was on the edge of my seat through the entire duration of this ❤

At one time during the 80’s, I was a military personnel passenger in a C-130 transport aircraft over the sky of USA, one of the 4 turboprop engines was shut down for whatever reason . The other 3 engines were running perfectly and the flight was just as smooth as with all 4 engines running . During WW2, there’s a story of a B-17 got 3 of it’s engines shot and still be able to make it back to base with only one functional engine . I love those old fashioned aircraft with 4 engines.

These pilots need to be recognized for their and please dont tell me "its their job"! Because it is the duty of the airline and plane manufacturers to see that the plane is always in Great Condition.... hats off to these brave men
