It has been another exciting week for Space News! #SpaceX continue to work hard on their #Starship ahead of the first orbital flight test: the launch table continues to receive substantial reinforcements, and booster production is at double capacity, thanks to the addition of a new weld station in the mega bay. Elsewhere, we saw a Starlink mission (5-5), Rocket Lab's latest Blacksky launch, Terran 1's unfortunate launch failure, China's latest steps towards reusability, and some new updates for the Artemis II Space Launch System (SLS) rocket!

Relativity Space didn't fail, Matt! Terran 1 went further than it was realistically expected. Everyone was saddened when 2nd stage engine didn't ignite properly, as people wanted to see Terran get to orbit but it was clear as day that invaluable date had been gathered for analysis and really, Terran 1 provided greater success than most first flights by relatively (pun) new companies. It is some very exciting technology these guys have implemented and it was proven that it is indeed possible to 3D print rocket parts.

Terran 1’s first flight was not a failure, but a huge success for them! You should change the title. Love watching your videos mate!

I’ve gotta say the Terran 1 launch is not really a faliure as their goal set for the launch was strictly to pass MaxQ and anything other then that was bonus so for what the launch was intended to accomplish it absolutely did and beautifully so I wouldn’t exactly call it a “failure”, plus they did better then most every other launch provider on the first launch, so I’d say it was a great success but didn’t reach orbit. Great content as always Matt love watching these Monday mornings

I can't believe we are going back to the moon. It's incredible. And I was always fascinated with the space shuttle, and starship looks like it will more or less be the next space shuttle. This is all an amazing time to be alive

Thanks for the update! I agree, the Terran 1 from Relativity Space was the highlight of the week for me. Though, there were some announcements recently on superconducting magnets that operate at room temp. (or nearly so) that hold the promise to revolutionize space travel! That was pretty exciting stuff too. I think Scott Manley mentioned it in one of his videos, and then I watched a very nice instructional video from Terran Space Academy detailing how it will change things enabling new MPD (Magneto Plasmadynanic Drives). Things are changing quickly, what with StarLink sats recently adopting new ion thrusters, and and Methalox rockets flying further and higher than ever before!

Dude, calling Terran 1 a "faliure" is a little harsh. Several firsts happened on that launch that have never happened before. It was, on many levels, a huge success.

For some reasons, I now picture the Indian space industry as a business to launch cats into space 😛.
Thank you for the always nice update.

Love those Vulcan rockets! And watched the Relativity launch live online. Was SUPER cool, and so glad to see they all so positive about the failure, lol. Don't think it will detour them at all and I'm sure they're right back to the drawing board to get ready for flight 2. Thanks for uploading this. Covered everything, super informative and entertaining.
