SpaceX Ripping It Back Up, Artemis 1 Reentry, ISS Upgrades, Square Kilometre Array (SKA) underway

This has been a difficult week to squeeze down and it looks like that is only going to get more tricky over the next few weeks. It is busy right now. We’ve got very intriguing stuff to talk about at SpaceX’s Starbase. We now have SpaceX Ripping It Back Up. Yes, the 11 Raptor Engine Static Fire caused enough damage for SpaceX to rip that concrete base back out again with diggers this week. An expendable pad vs the reusable Starship now it seems. Artemis 1 is still going strong as it plummets back toward the atmosphere for reentry. Another incredible week of updates there. Action on the International Space Station as astronauts roll out for the iROSA rollout. We have OneWeb and SpaceX becoming more than frenemies! The mind-blowing Square Kilometre Array to be scanning the skies for an alien spaceport near you, and this is getting real exciting too. Let's jump into it.

So incredibly cool that Tim gets to go to space. It just goes to show that anything is possible if you work hard enough. Congratulations to Tim.
And thank you Marcus for my Saturday morning space fix. 👍

Your editing and media content are beautifully executed! Your editor really gets into gear around 9:00, Kudos to you all! Your technical crew need a shout-out... I think many of us would be interested in a vid about your episode preparation, and the various stages of production. Better than most, if not all, major tv channels. Effing Bravo!!!!

they will continue to have issues with the concrete pad in this location and likely Fl. also. new concrete will always have a high moisture content inside the slab, so unless they let this sit for a very long time to lose the moisture, they will continue to have this issue. what is causing the concrete to fly apart is all that moisture being tuned into water vapor (steam) and expanding inside the slab causing it to fail from within. all concrete is always drawing in moisture from the ground and the air, and this being built in a marsh area means the slab will always be drawing in moisture for its entire existence. the entire launch platform needs to go through a major redesign and construction. the whole launch area needs to be elevated artificially like the SLS pad to help mitigate these issues.

13:02 something I thought was interesting is left handed threads are used a lot on saw blades, grinder blades and stuff that turns so it won't come loose. It's good to be extra sure up there.

Makes me feel old, I can remember watching the Apollo missions at school back in the day. Love the show it's rekindled my interest in space exploration.

Marcus, you have an outstanding channel. The detail you go into, for us normal non space humanoids is extremely appreciated. Love your stuff…

Thanks for the weekly wrap-up, Marcus; it was enjoyable as ever. I can't wait to see Artemis 1 splashdown off the California coast. Would you, or anyone here, know if it will be visible from the shore and how far away you'd have to be to see it? It would be greatly appreciated if anyone knew as my kids are in NorCal, and I would love for them to see it if possible. Thanks for everything you do for the space community; stay safe, my friend.🥰🥰

I watch most/ alot/ channels on the Space feeds and you must do so much work to bring this together for us on a Saturday!
Much appreciated.

I think you are one of the top YouTubers and don't need to "squeeze things down", I personally would be happy to spend more time watching your videos. What about an extended cut?

Marcus I took your advice and bought one of those Henson razors and it is a fine product. The shaving experience is a little different than I’m used to with multi blade units, but I enjoy it very much and feel like it’s a positive environmental step. No more plastic! Thanks for the suggestion and please keep picking sponsors with great products!

I specifically love the section about the solar arrays being installed. Also, the 3-D printed rocket is also, some thing that I have enjoyed seeing come together. Happy Saturday Marcus. Cheers.

It surely is a good sign that "MZ" has been relatively inclusive in his selection of his own Moon crew. Congratulations to him and thanks to you, Marcus, for your continued good work on all things space.
