I went from 175 to a 160 lbs plateau for months so I decided to use a half teaspoon allulose in conjunction with a half teaspoon honey for my preferred sweet flavor. My sugar craving lessened and I tapered to a quarter teaspoon of honey. One month later I was down 12 lbs and I find I want even less sugar overall. I've been using SIMPLA which has allulose, prebiotic fiber (chicory root) and monk fruit extract. Thank you Thomas for this video!

When I switched to Allulose last year, after 3 months my liver enzymes tripled. I found other people who have also experienced that when that is the only thing they changed. Maybe b/c it is from corn. Be aware.

Thomas, just need to say thanks, since I’ve been subscribed to your channel my weight loss journey has been so much better. The information you share is so valuable. So far I’ve lost almost 100 lbs, gained 11 in muscle and feel SO much better in general. I drive a big rig and had, though really bad food choices and lifestyle, ballooned up to 393 pounds. If that wasn’t bad enough I was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Using tips and ticks from you my A1c is 5 down from 11. I just was told I can cut down my dose of metformin and I’m off my blood pressure meds entirely. Thank you for giving me the road map to better my health.

Dude, I just had to drop a comment and say how much I enjoy your videos. I especially love it when you add your signature touch and say "and this is Super Cool because...". Every time you do that, it grabs my attention and keeps me engaged. I feel like I'm learning something new and exciting with each video. I wish there were more content creators like you who have a knack for making even the most complex subjects easy to understand and entertaining to watch. Keep up the amazing work!

I love allulose! It does not crystalize like erythritol, making it great for sugar free ice cream (stays soft!) and sugar free caramel recipes. I also make a simple syrup with it by using a 1:1 ratio of allulose and water-- lightly boil mixture for a few minutes and sprinkle a small amount of xanthan gum to thicken the mixture. Stores well in the fridge and again does not crystalize. Great for skinny margaritas! :D

I am diabetic and for the third time over many years I am recovering from sugar substitutes. Very slowly they will cripple among other things. Be careful. Even over the counter meds use these things. God Bless

I've been sweetening with mostly allulose since last year. To me the most influential reason has been is that for my taste buds it really does taste like a less sweet sugar to me. Most other sweeteners really change the flavor (not necessarily make worse but change) where I find allulose taste very much the same as table sugar to me, even side by side hard to notice a difference granted less sweet for the same amount.

I tried allulose for the first time in my coffee this morning. I only used 2 tsp in my morning coffee. My blood glucose before drinking my coffee was 84. I also ate a very low carb breakfast (eggs and bacon) with my coffee. I took my blood glucose again 1 hr after eating and my blood sugar went down to 74. The bad thing was, about 2 hrs later, I had bad diarrhea. I probably went to the bathroom 4 times within an hour and it eventually subsided. I made sure I was hydrating myself well because of the diarrhea. In about the 3-4 hr mark, I started to feel light-headed, shaky and my hands were clammy, which were all symptoms of hypoglycemia (I have no history of hypoglycemia), so I took my blood sugar again and it dropped to 62, which is the lowest I've ever had my blood sugar reach. My average fasting blood glucose is in the mid-70's to low 80's. I will try to lower my dose tomorrow to see if I will react the same way or if my blood glucose levels would do the same as today.

I use monk fruit and erythritol. They taste better than allulose and do not come from corn. They are also good for reducing insulin resistance.

Allulose is my preferred sweetener. I've been using it for over a year. This makes me even happier to know the other possible benefits ☺️

Gastric distress, not sweet enough, and after taste are the biggest complaints of Allulose I've seen on Amazon reviews. Probably why it's not used as much in my opinion. Thanks Thomas!

Keto low carb 3 years. We love allulose for baking occasionally; less aftertaste ~ but lately very hard to find. Thanks for research!

I must be psychic since I'm keto and just purchased my first allulose product as a "safe" sweetener. This seems to be on the heels of the research that implicates vinegar, and lemon juice consumed (ahead of carbs) in reducing the insulin spike. Mindblowing stuff!

Thanks for this explanation. I've been using allulose for a couple of years and love it. I love to bake with it and use less or no sugar and made my favorite carmelized desserts. Glad to know it had a low glycemic effect.👍🏽

I only know about Trehalose … its superb! It competes with glucose so it helps keep your blood glucose low when taken with meals. Also promotes AMPK .

It is important to find allulose that is NOT derived from corn. Splenda brand allulose is derived from corn so I avoid it. Allulose reacts the most like sugar in baked goods, it also is a good sweetener for keto ice cream as it doesn't crystallize when frozen so the ice cream stays creamy. 🙂

Thank you so much for making this video! I have had so many questions about Allulose. I do use it, but have been waiting for the "too good to be true" theory to kick in!
