I get called too skinny all the time. People question why i watch what i eat and pressure me to eat more junk food.... i am around 20% body fat. peoples perceptions are wack.

When I was a young man I got down to single figures. People asked me if I had cancer.

I really like this type of content because people need to hear it and see it. What's normal right now is very unhealthy. People often think I'm thin, but im only smaller than average. I need to lose body fat and build more lean muscle. At that point I'm sure people will start being "worried " about me. This world is crazy.

That's why Arnold's words "when it's shaking - it's a fat" are always the best option.

This is such an intelligent take by both Mike and Greg. Most videos just show that shirtless picture spread and have always been confusing. Fat is store a lot more places than the front torso, and this video explains how you can gauge where you’re at very well.

Hey Greg, I’ve got like that 35% gut but visible bicep veins, chest veins, and can see multiple tricep heads so when you went on that rant about people storing fat in different places, I felt that 😂

I still think it would be interesting if you could get pictures of people at say, 15, 25, and 35% body fat, but very low muscle mass, mostly average muscle mass, and way above average muscle mass.

When I started exercising I estimate I was in the range of 35-40% body fat, but my issue was actually a wildly frail and under muscled body so anyone glancing I just looked pretty normal. I only dropped weight from 162 to 150, but put on somewhere in the range of 16lbs of muscle in the past couple years (very casual) so that means I lost somewhere around 28lbs of fat over the same time frame. I look wildly different but my weight actually only dropped by about 7.5%.

5:15 peak greg, when humor and education combine- its just the unfiltered truth, people need to shut up about being offended when its literally a medically true statement that shouldnt be ignored

Being in the 12-18% range feels solid imo. 💪🏿

I like how gregs's volume goes from SHOUTING AT 25+% to room voice at 20-15% gradually back TO CRAZY VOLUMES NEARING 5%
Lower volume -> healthier. Got it

@3:46 Coach Greg went from 30% shouting to 80% Shouting.

Just celebrated my fativersary on 25 Nov when my peak measured body fat was 30.4% a year ago. Now I'm probably between 16.5% to 18.5%. .About 2/3 of the progress was over the past 5 months where the diet improved and I was more disciplined with exercise. Didn't really take pictures, but I recognise the looks.

Very informative! I would also love to see a video like this focusing on body fat percentage in women.

What throws people off is that in most posing pics they're flexing. Especially in before/after pics, where that person is not flexing in the before pic but is flexing in the after pic to make it seem like the transformation is that drastic

I really do like the feeling of being around the 15-18% BF mark. I can generally eat whatever I want as long as I monitor my macros / count calories, and never feel unhealthy or like I'm out of shape as long as I'm lifting consistently. I look good without a shirt, and if I really want to get leaner for the summer, down to 12% or so, I could up my cardio or cut calories a bit and get there in a month or two without needing to permacut for months at a time.
