About the video:
15% body fat is an excellent goal when you’re looking to get lean for the time. This is especially the case if you’re starting overweight at 25% body fat or above 30% body weight. When you get below 20% body fat, you get the majority of health benefits from being leaner. From a visual perspective, the physique will look great, you’ll get rid of most belly fat, and you’ll be able to see some of your abs as well.

And in this video, I go over the timeline and how long does it take to lose weight for someone starting at 200 lbs at 25% body fat to get to 15% body fat. I go over exact weeks and months, how to calculate your fat-free mass, how to estimate your body fat percentage, and the most common mistakes you need to avoid on your fat loss journey. If you're looking to lose fat, this video will help you understand what to expect and how long it takes to see results.

I started my journey at around 100/101 Kg in late February. Focused on trying to eat clean though not counting calories, just a bit of common sense + eating more protein, and have been lifting quite consistently. Today I clocked in at 86.85 Kg, weekly averages close to -14 Kg, almost half a kilo per week (including three nearly week long trips where I relaxed a little bit). Quite happy about it even though I still have ways to go...target weight is 75 Kg for now, I want to get there and see how I feel. It's this kind of content that I feel is really helpful to keep me grounded on what I gotta do to get there, appreciate it!

Key word, "Patience". You cannot be in a hurry. Live successfully 1 day at a time and you will be happy. This is the most important life skill to learn.Nobody is perfect. Some people are much more crazy than others. Live in the balance.

Awesome video, I like how you spoke the truth and didn’t beat around the bush. Whereas many other influencers will say “Get abs fast” which is misleading, and can deter many people from working out when they don’t see results. Good job and Thank you for being truthful!

I have recently found your channel and I am so happy because I feel like you’re a genuine guy who actually knows what he’s talking about and doesn’t sound like a judgmental douche about going through the process. I have finally learned to love the process of working out, and that was taken many years! This is the portion that I’m in in my face of working out. I have dropped 80 pounds and still am a little skinny fat butt. I know that I am overtraining a bit too much and I’m not sleeping enough. I just have to re-organize my diet a little bit. Keep crashing it 🤙🏻😎💪🏻

Great video! I truly appreciate the patience and comparison to yourself part. What has helped me is to start doing only what I can be consistent with - even if it’s just 30 minute walk, 10 squats, 10 push-ups & minimal refined carbs/sugars. Over time, the workload can slowly be increased and it won’t feel like a chore. It’s all about consistency.

I started training for the first time late last October (2021) with a personal trainer. In February I upped my number of sessions per week with the trainer and then in May I started to focus on increasing my step count to 8, 000 active steps a day. My point is that I have taken the approach of slow but steady change and it is working for me. When I started I needed to drop 16 pounds of fat and gain 8 pounds of muscle. I only have 4 more pounds of fat to drop before I reassess. Patience has been key, but I've been sticking with it and trusting the process.

This is the best channel on the topic that I’ve found, Mario. Thank you so much for your content. I have been following it for a while now and it helps keep me motivated and it also reinforces that I’m on the right track and doing the right things.

I am 59 years old and had a heart attack in July of 2021. I am 5’ 9” (used to be 5’ 10.5” but that’s one of the realities of getting older, guys) and I’ve weighed as much as 218 pounds. I had been in the process of losing weight and was about 209 when I had my heart attack. Since then I’ve gotten very serious about changing my diet and exercising. I weighed 196.6 pounds on April 10th this year when I started hitting the weights and cardio in addition to eating better. I was also at 28% body fat according to my scale which seems to jive with your pictures. I’ve been doing progressive overloading with dumbbells interspersed with 30 minutes on an elliptical three times a week. I’ve also practiced some intermittent fasting. Six months later I’m at 174 pounds and 22% body fat. I haven’t been in the 170s for over 30 years. But I’m not done. I want to get down to 15% body fat. Thanks for your continued motivation and information.

I absolutely love your advice! Spot on especially when you're talking about not comparing yourself to others. Over the course of the last 2 years I've lost over 45 lb. Been going to the gym steady for a while now. I would just say to everyone out there it takes time so don't expect things to just happen quickly. I once asked a guy in the gym how long it would take for me to lose the 10 lb that I have left to lose. He told me, "Don't think about it in those terms. Think about it like it doesn't really matter how long it takes because you're on a lifelong journey. "

This video helped me understand a lot where I am with my journey. I decided to change my life 7 months ago. My heaviest was 116kg being at 5’6. My body fat was over 40% I’ve just now hit 79kg and I’m sitting at 25% body fat. I even took the Christmas period as my “plateau” period. Ate whatever I wanted for around a month and gradually brought my calories back down to a deficit. Now I’m going to the gym religiously, tracking my food, steps and gym progress. So hearing and seeing this just gets me even more excited for what’s to come.

I’m 31 and in December I was 225 at around 30+% body fat. Now I’m 170 at 15-16%. For a bulk of the journey I was doing 2-a-days at the gym (cardio/core mornings). Also adjusting my diet weekly to the change in my body. The BIGGEST part was changing the relationship I had with food.

I have had some good progress lately. I got a fitbit and have increased my daily walking, and have been hitting the like button more consistently.

I've started my journey just 5 days before for weight loss and thank you for insight information. I'm gonna stick to your 3 points mainly.
1. Focus on progress, not perfection.
2. Diet is most important factor while you're cutting your body fat, be extra careful what are you eating.
3. Patience.
