When i see a poor person stealing, i understand it. It's wrong but you see why they're doing it. They can't pay their bills, their stomach is empty, they live in a dump. But when i see a rich person money laundering and scheming, i look at them weird and say, "really!? the cadillac, the mansion, the shopping spree were not enough for you and your family."

Is it just me or do i feel this is the best way to correct someone? Make them feel ashamed so they have better incentive to correct their behavior, rather tahn just always stick after stick. Sometimes u need a carrot too.

That's definitely got to be a wake up call moment. I hope he's able to actually get himself together in prison and mostly Inhooe he's able to gain meaningful employment so that he's able to not go back into that situation where he felt he needed to do what he did.

I am 101 % agreed with everything he said. Not every person is bad its the circumstances which bring people to greater or worst of their short life. We should give everybody a second chance. And we should give ourselves a second chance. I hope you got my last point.

Honestly I think he really deserves another chance to live considering how kind he was back then. This really just shows that not everyone in jail isn’t a bad guy/girl and some can be super kind.

Having his once, good self remembered by an old friend and same person punishing him for his current life as a criminal must have hit him like a hammer, probably more than whatever jail time he was getting. I hope he changes for the better.

Perhaps I should not do the sentencing....

The judge should have recused herself from the trial as she had a clear conflict of interest, and or bias.

WOW. That was heartbreaking.
No amount of scolding can come close to the shame that man obviously felt at that moment. I doubt that someone his age will suddenly turn his life around, because he's obviously no newcomer to crime, but perhaps this was his rock bottom moment.
