Not being able to put into words what I know is correct drives me freaking crazy. This makes me feel a little bit better about it. 😉

This truly is a superpower especially if you happen to pursue a helping profession.

Interesting. I would say that in my own words, ADHD provides us with an innate ability to take in a wealth of information, knowledge and logic, yet we struggle in terms of coping with the best action to take from knowing all of it. I believe the struggle lies in coping with the emotional weight of what to do with all that you see and know. Take care of yourselves❤

Thank you for bringing this up and putting it into words. I’m 70. I’ve always known I had this special ability, but have never been able to explain it. I’ve just enjoyed having it, like it was my secret. But I never realized it was an ADHD thing. I wasn’t diagnosed until 49, when my son was, and back then there wasn’t all this great information like today. It’s so nice to finally have the way I am, and always have been, validated as something real.

This helped me as a journalist. Made me great at quickly taking in a HUGE amount of info, discerning structure, and boiling info down to the essentials on deadline.

Pro: You know exactly why lightning fast
Con: You dont know how to fucking explain it

Helps me alot in decoding what somewhat feels but I have to consciously justify and find out why my brain realises it

Best superpower about ADHD is not getting homeless. Well for those who did not cuz most of my peers with ADHD still live with parents with resources or got help in time.

Whenever I'm solving a maths equation, I always do this and show none of the working out, It pisses my teachers off.

i can explain but it takes lots of baclground info and context. it also makes me sound like an cocky A-hole bragging about how differently I see the world, so i'd rather not. working on not saying "i knew it!/i told you so."

I use to scare my ex husband as I “knew” things that there was no way of me knowing! That’s how he became my ex husband 😂

The problem is that even though you're 100% correct in your prediction, people don't believe you or end up disliking you because you predicted something.
