While interviewing for a college program, they asked what my biggest weakness was. I said I'm a procrastinator. Then they asked my biggest strength. I said that as a result, I work well under pressure. Looking back, that was totally my ADHD talking 😂

Their caleidoscopic brain is 2E = twice exeptional. Faster than normal in connecting invisibile dots. Smarter than normal in divergent thinking and out of the box problem solving (they dont even know there is a box 😂). Deeper than normal in hyperfocus and in working in the flow. They can see what others cannot see ⚡ These are incredible superpowers, even in their hard, struggling life. And, yes, as disorganized and time blind as they are, they can give their best under pressure. They are neuroatipical geniuses 💎 Amazing gifted creatures 🎉 Sadly not always understood. Love from Italy ❣️

I think ADHD brains are special edition brains, I think they are build for hyper complex operations that needs large teams and sub teams to operate, compacted in one person.. or in another words, leading qualities that provide special powers.. ADHD brains are build to run nations !!

When my husband and had a heart attack everyone kept asking g how was I doing managing the crisis and managing our kids and home. I was initially confused because I felt fine, I'd eventually crash but in the crisis I. Couldnt understand why everyone was concern but I wasn't bothered.

Then I learned about this adhd component.

As a healthcare professional I have experienced this a lot.

I can run Blue Codes like nothing happen. A person could be dying...and my brain is calmed as hell. It's weird.

But when I become hyperfocused on saving someone, once everything is done....I JUST START CRYING WHEN EVERYTHING IS RESOLVED.

This is 100% me. I have always worked best under pressure. I get bored if a deadline isn't imminent.

It’s true working on a flight deck and an oil rig were my favorite jobs I’ve ever had . Got too old to keep up

You either use your energy to panic and get overwhelmed or you calm down, try to fix the situation or do what It needs to be done, and, after whatever it was is taken care of, you can go cry in a corner 😆

Yep, that’s how I got through college.
I was like - I have a month to write this paper but instead I’ll start it the day before and stay up all night to finish - and still get an A

I wish I’d had someone in college to tell me it’s okay that this is how my brain works. I guess I can now be the one to tell others.

In grad school, I always wrote the most stellar papers at the last minute. Masters -straight As but all at the final moments before due dates...Doctorate.... same.

Yea, can totally relate, working in security and handling alarms, fire,
safety, theft and intruder issues. Even a screening gaurd, with all kinds of choas, I remain calm and lead the way. Yes!! I love problem solving, even inventing. Im very creative and get in my zone when I'm painting or drawing, even making stuff. So thankful for your videos. Cause now I understand why I do like I do.😊

It’s weird because I also have anxiety but I’m eerily calm in a lot of situations where I shouldn’t be. For example, when I testify in court for my job (child welfare), I’m a hot mess and can barely remember my name, but I have no fear driving to the ghetto at midnight on Friday night 😂
My dad was a 911 operator and I’ve thought I could probably do it since I’m calm in crisis situations, but I didn’t get past the dang online application process… I think it’s because I answered “yes” to the question have I ever been terminated from a job… which is dumb because they don’t even try to find out the reason.

Living with ADHD can be challenging at times. It's a trait rooted in our primal instincts, designed to help us survive in a different era. However, in today's modern world, it often feels like an unwelcome guest.
