I am resilient to Failing. But failing for 10+ years and having NOTHING to show for it really promotes Discomfort. No matter how hard you try to make a go at life, the odds are forever in your favor to fail it. Life is a failure. Yet Life is Life. Here we are.

I particularly agree with and like two points in this video that I think you articulated so well....One is what I call vulnerability based trust on a team. It is so important to be able to admit mistakes, ask for help, be vulnerable with team mates. I think it is a key characteristic of a high performing team. Secondly, I love the falling vs failing comparison. We all learn by making mistakes and if you don't keep that mindset of taking risks then we stagnate.

I’m applying this to myself to encourage falling rather than procrastinating as I’m learning new skills. Thank you!

Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance of wealth, a great career, purpose is a result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life.

Simon talks about being on a trusting team, where you can say “I made a mistake, ” or “I don’t know, ” or “I need help, ”without fear of humiliation, retribution or reduced promotability. If you’re pushing boundaries, you’re going to fail a lot because you’re going to experiment a lot. But, he’d rather use the term “falling” rather than “failing”, because when you fall, you can get right back up. Whereas, using failure, as a term, is almost like the end of the line. I think he’s a little sensitive about the term. Great example of a tech company that throws a party when they fail. They, literally, celebrate “lessons learned.” Their objective is to make failure something to learn from and move on. It makes them not afraid to take chances and increases their innovative focus. When I was a baseball coach and a player made an error or struck out in a key situation, my answer to them, was to keep the lesson learned, forget the experience. A lesson for all of us.

*Today's message is about a song by Alan Jackson titled - Angels and Alcohol.*

Funny title, right.*

Personally, I think Alan must have been high on whiskey when he wrote that song.

Lmao.

So the first verse of the song goes like this...

"You can't mix angels and alcohol
I don't think God meant for them to get along
When it takes control, you can't love no one at all
You can't mix angels and alcohol"

Each time I hear that song, I just keep thinking about the line:

*"I don't think God meant for them to get along"*

Just like Angels and Alcohol (according to Alan)...there are things that just won't go along in this life no matter what.

An example that comes to mind is "making money" and "making excuses"

I always say you can't make money and make excuses.

You have to pick one and be okay with it.

So, which one are you choosing today?

Angels or Alcohol?

Making money or making excuses?

Just one.

And be okay with whatever comes out of that choice.

*Have a great day!* 💕 💝

Dear friend, failure is an inevitable part of life, and it's important to be comfortable with it in order to grow and learn. When you fail, don't be too hard on yourself - instead, view it as an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and improve for the future. Remember, failure is not the opposite of success, but rather a stepping stone towards it. By embracing failure, you can build resilience, gain new perspectives, and ultimately achieve greater success. Best of luck in embracing failure as a valuable part of your personal and professional growth journey!
