You incorrectly noted that there hadn’t been any design change with the M1, M2, and M3. But the M1 had the previous MacBook Air design—the design was all new for the M2 MacBook Air. So, it’s only a two-year-old design.

My M1 is still fast enough for me. Plus, I prefer the wedge design even if it has less speakers than the new ones. Maybe one day when the MBA has a redesign, I might upgrade. 😅

I have the Macbook Air M2 512 since a couple od years ago.

I use Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, youtube etc

If that’s what you also use overall, you don’t need an M3 neither an M4.

If you’re a heavy user, get the PRO and then up to you how you decide to bite the apple.

Most people are aware that the M4 in the iPads Pro is a step up from previous gens. Still, Apple will release the M4 Pros first, and the cheaper Air many months later. Fewer people would get the Pro models otherwise. Curious whether we will see an M5 next year and in what product.

27-inch QHD gaming monitors and the M3 Air are a great combo. Both have QHD, but users get a boost in FPS for gaming and work productivity.

Also, at QHD it is aligned with Apple's scaling preference. Apps don't look like odd art nor miss-sized.

MBA M4's base config will have 4 P-cores. The binned ones are for iPads only, as the number of P-cores matters less to them.
