How to Use AVADA KEDAVRA Early in Hogwarts Legacy

The unforgivable curse AVADA KEDAVRA is infamous in the Harry Potter franchise and it's also available to learn LATE in the main game of Hogwarts Legacy. It makes sense that the spell is only unlocked later in the campaign because it is SO overpowered, being capable of making any foe unalive with just one shot!

If you want to embrace your dark side early though, you CAN if you ordered the Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy. Those players get access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena as soon you're able to enter free roam and get around the Hogwarts map!

When you enter the Dark Arts arena, all 3 unforgivable spells - Crucio, Imperio and Avada Kedavra are ALL available to cast against waves of enemies! It's a brilliant way to use the spells EARLY, long before they're taught to you in the main quest line.

Completing the Dark Arts Arena (of it's your first battle arena) will also earn you an awesome cosmetic mask that goes perfectly with the sinister powers you've just wielded!

Hogwarts Legacy is hands-down going to be one of the games of the year in my opinion and is available now on XBOX Series X|S, Playstation 5 and PC. In April it'll be available on last generation consoles and then on Nintendo Switch in June 2023!

I use crucio all of the time, especially on the bigger enemies because they don't use their powers/hits on you while they're being tortured. You can take out the smaller enemies while they're under the crucio curse, and then focus on them when the smaller ones are finished. Or, you can use it to bring them down faster. I absolutely love using it ;) I own the deluxe version, but want to work for the AK cure. Almost there to unlock it!

Use this OP spell early (but only by paying more money and only on a trial basis in a very specific part of the game that has no impact on the main game)

It’s perfect for putting all points in Dark Arts so most of your common spells have the ability to curse, Imperio a troll, crucio some random dude, and avada kadavra that last one and everyone you’ve cursed with common casts and the other two unforgivables, boom.

Avada kadavra is unlocked after the loyalty quest near the end of the game. You also have to do all of Sebastian's quest line. And for the record, it doesn't one shot every enemy and it doesn't work on the final boss.

Yeah I have the deluxe edition. Played in the dark arts arena quite early. When I was only level 8 or something a few hours into the game. Was very fun to test out

Yes you can use all three in the arena, but you don't unlock them in game. It's a hard grind.

I did do this it was surprisingly fun once I put skills into the dark arts mainly crucio mastery and the one where killing a cursed target with avada kills other cursed I instantly swept that round

I bought the deluxe edition MONTHS ago and I have always wondered how to get to the dark arts battle arena 😭😂 I always thought it was an extra menu option I was missing so I actually found this video super helpful

Have deluxe, Arena only gives you 4 spells, Avada Kerdava, Imperio, Crucio and Confringo. Used only Basic Cast, Ancient Magic Throw, Ancient Magic and Confringo, still won, key was Protego and high combo to spam Ancient Magic. (Main account was going to *learn* but never use the Unforgivable's, was a Slytherin too.)

Fun fact it was the first arena I came across and I didn't even have the broom yet as I was just out and about exploring and came across this.
