To kill Dumbledore with intent, Snape thought of all the snide 'greasy hair' jokes that Dumbledore aimed at him over the years.

The green gives me an impression of a poisonous desire to kill, while the blue gives me the impression of a chilly and depressed murderous intent filled with despair

Dumbledore: "Severus... Infinity points to Gryffindor!"
Snape: "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Snape was a master of non-verbal spells. He could’ve said one thing, but cast another.

Blue can also represent sorrow or regret which would be fitting with how important Dumbledore was to Snape

I love how Nagini ate that killer spell like it was nothing, only to catch a Medieval Haircut.
Muggle dueling for the win!

Snape: "uhvada kedavra" -- depressed
Voldemort: -- excited

In the books harry stays bound by dumbledors spell after snape cast the curse, only breaking after he hit the ground, this tells us it was the fall that killed him. Snape was certainly powerful enough to kill him if he wanted.

Snape didn’t kill dumbledore, the fall from the astronomy tower killed him. Edit: this is probably wrong. But I heard something saying that I. The books Harry tried to scream but he couldn’t and he only could after dumbledore hit the ground. And also in the 4th book Barry crouch .jr ( disguised as moody) said that you have to mean it to actually kill the person.

"A jet of GREEN light shot from the end of Snape's wand and hit Dumbledore squarely in the chest."

Edit:
The quote above is from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince fantasy novel by J.K. Rowling.

But, the following quote is from the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie screenplay by Steve Kloves:

"Avada Kedavra! A JET of GREEN LIGHT hits Dumbledore squarely in the chest."

Snape’s Avada Kedavra was not from a malicious intent, so it didn’t kill Dumbledore. However, it did send him flying down the tower, and that FALL killed him.

Edit: Don’t have a war in the comments. Another thing that proves that Dumbledore died due to the fall is that the fact that Harry couldn’t move while it happened. He wanted to scream but he couldn’t. This was because of the jinx Dumbledore had cast on him. The jinx would only wear off after Dumbledore died. The jinx wore off AFTER Dumbledore fell, which means Dumbledore died after and due to the fall.

This footage literally has a blue filter on it to gaslight people. It wasnt blue in the books and it wasnt blue in the movies. In the original movies it appears slightly blue greenish, because of the gloomy filter that is put on the movie. This is to create that sensation of every movie becoming darker and darker as they progressed. It's absolute nonsense.

avada kedavra, the ultimate spell for any confrontation

Now, that's a good lore theory right there. Here's an Occam's Razor answer: Someone thought that a blue flash would look better in the shot.

It always killed me the way he SAID the spell.
Almost choking on it from what he had to do to the man he revered and respected so much.

Another theory is that he didn't cast avada kedavra at all, he couldn't let himself do it- He instead casted another spell (non verbal) that just pushed Dumbledore off the astronomy tower which then lead to him dying from the fall.

The amount of detail they put into this series is incredible
