More people need to get these long sentences, even when a juvenile.

She should have gotten all 42 years to life. She gave those parents a life sentence as well as those girls. The pain from a loss of a parent never leaves you. Speaking from experience. These babies lost Both. 😢

Only 21 years for Killing a family - and probably parole after 5 years. What a disgrace.

People, PLEASE take the keys away from people who are drunk! Don’t let them drive, even if you don’t know them! Save a life and a family!

I lost my sister to a drunk driver 5 years ago. It still hurts. I just graduated from college and it was bittersweet. Major milestones almost feel meaningless when important people aren't here to celebrate it with you.

Super heart breaking to see that 3 little girls are now orphans because of someone’s stupid choice! There’s literally Ubers and Lyft now something I didn’t have when I was that age. Glad to see the judge doing the right thing and giving her a tough sentence…something that should be done more commonly now…especially nowadays!

21 years instead of 42?! Those 3 babies got a LIFE SENTENCE without their parents. Devastating. I hope they are able to heal and live good lives 🙏

The family was driving around Newport Beach looking at Christmas lights. Grace Coleman, 23, was driving at 75 MPH and ran a red light, hitting their car. Coleman had a blood alcohol level of 0.22% – nearly THREE times the legal limit – and left the scene of the collision.

The lady got a ride, and still got in her own car, with a prior dui.

You deserve all of it !!!

She didn’t start crying until she got her sentence. People like her won’t stop committing their crimes until they are put in jail.

God Bless the aunt for stepping up to the plate to do what is necessary for family.

I can never understand why drunk drivers always survive and most of the time victims don't

She left the scene too?! That is unforgivable.

As someone who was hit head-on by a drunk driver doing 80 mph, I can absolutely say that this woman got off easy. In some countries, a second DUI offense resulting in death would have gotten her the death penalty. She should have received a life sentence in prison. My prayers and condolences go out to the children and their family members.

This really sucks. I know what it feels like to have no parents. It's really hard. I hope the aunt show them little girls lots of love and care. Prayers for this familia 😢🙏

That judge lost his mind, 21 years isn’t enough. Give her 40

How do you have a prior DUI and not get your license suspended for a lengthy amount of time. It’s time to tighten up on DUI and any type of reckless driving.

Edit: I had to pull out a reckless DUI driver last weekend out of burning car. In my head I could’ve done the world a favor if I just left him in the wreckage to bleed out.. really in a matter of seconds I could act on my own justice but the world would rather fall to making money over putting others peoples life safety. I kid you not the last week in neighborhood there’s been 10 major incidents involving fatal DUI. LA is great

She deserved those 40 years in prison. This is so heartbreaking. Poor girls. I’m emotional over this.

If this happened in my Country (Australia) she would’ve been sentence to about five years at most. Kudos to that Judge and your strict sentencing laws for putting her away for that length of time.
