I discovered a new one: Revelation 7:13-14 Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these clothed in white robes?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation."
John is having a discussion with a Saint Elder in heaven.

Thank you for your videos.

Not sure if you have any plans to but at some stage I would love to see you talk with the Bishop who has just left the Church of England to become a Roman Catholic (Jonathan Goodall).

As a protestant for years we always had Saints pray with us.. For those who say that we worship Saints are just wrong, we never elevated them to the level of God, nor did they EVER take the place of God. Prayer is simply asking, which has nothing to do with worship. We always ask our brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for us.. If you choose to call Saints "dead people" then you never really believed "All alive in the body of Christ" which is blasphemy. No comment on this.... If anyone wants to split hairs and try to break down these arguments into separate scriptures good luck. (I think this video completes this) I can just as easily call your specific denomination unbiblical since it is not convincingly noted within the word of God.. (absurd) I do believe it goes back to the topic of "prayer/worship" and what EXACTLY the definition is.... Some may see prayer as worship, some do not. Some see them intertwined. Someone asking someone else IN THE BODY OF CHRIST to pray for you, to speak for you, someone you honor, someone you favor, someone you respect or even venerate.... Why would anyone view this as wrong? If you don't want to do it, then don't do it.. I started with the easiest way just as I would with someone next to me... St. Francis, since I know you are in the presence of my precious savior Jesus Christ, and you lived a holy and humble life, please pray with me..

The amount of Prots in the comments who have not watched the video but are making super ignorant statements show.

And before I am flooded by comments telling me praying to saints is evil i should warn it won't work. When I was sick beyond all belief I heard a female voice in my head telling to to go to church. I went, prayed the ROSARY, and was healed in seconds. I pray to Christ 99% of the time but will always dedicate time to the blessed lady who, through our mutual trust in god, saved me. And, since my friends in the comments love to quote scripture, I will leave scripture for those who have divided the church.

Corinthians
"I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe's people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul, ” or “I follow Apollos, ” or “I follow Cephas, ” or “I follow Christ.” Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius."

What you said is all great and stuff but cmon be not deceived. They bow and hold reverence to graven images of “the saints” those paintings don’t even look like the actual saints. They deny they worship the saints but they clearly do. You must not make an image of anything on the earth, IN HEAVEN, and in the waters for you to worship. So even if the saints are in heaven you’re not supposed to create an image for you to worship…and I know in there parts of the Bible like when God instructed Moses to put a snake on a poll..those are two different things. God ordered Moses to do that. It was not meant for them to get on their knees and ask the thing to intervene on their behalf. Also the Catholics don’t keep the laws of God so God ultimately is not hearing their prayers but just giving them into their own destruction. That’s because the church is based on Pauls writings instead of what God commanded. The writings of paul are there to purposefully trick the wicked souls into their own destruction. The Catholics don’t keep the 1, 2 and 4 commandment either which is the sabbath. Jesus said keep the commandments.

Asking Virgin Mary & Saints for prayers as we ask our own family & friends, is for our benefit. They have eternal life in Heaven, God heeds their prayers as they prevail over many things. God does not refuse His Mother! But God willed that this work of salvation be accomplished through the collaboration of a woman, while respecting her free will (Gal. 4:4).
He said where two or more are gathered, He is among them. It’s nice to have an army of the Just praying for us & with us. Jn 11:25-26, Pro 15:29, Jm 5:16, Rev 4:10, 5:8, 6:9-11, 7:11-15, 8:3-4, 11:19, 12:1-17, Lk 1:28, 35, 42-43, Jn 2:3-11.

I wonder how protestants feel about Satan's powers, since a creation being able to listen to something from another realm is too much for them. Satan can do even more than that.

I know a Baptist lady, friend of the family, with a devotion to Mary.

So, yes. It can happen.

Paul never told anyone to pray to David, Moses, Elijah, etc, for anything. He told the disciples to pray to God only.

The whole argument here is anecdotal theory, a moot point. God created man;

Isaiah 43:7
[7] everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.”

Jeremiah 33:2-3
[2] “Thus says the LORD who made the earth, the LORD who formed it to establish it—the LORD is his name: [3] Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

John 14:13-14
[13] Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Matthew 21:22
[22] And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

John 15:16
[16] You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

John 16:23
[23] In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

Mark 11:24
[24] Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

1 John 5:14-15
[14] And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. [15] And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

John 15:7-8
[7] If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. [8] By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

John 16:23
[23] In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

1 Timothy 2:5-7
[5] For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, [6] who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. [7] For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

I respect your theological perspective, and a very good biblical case. But even as a catholic, i just prefer just to pray to God, in the name of Jesus. I dont judge anyone who does, its just that i prefer to follow the voice of jesus teaching in the Gospels.

I respect Cameron, intelligent enough to come on Pints. But it seems his hair-do is becoming a distraction. Humility in 'self' is important.

Louis Pentaleri. When u hv found god, u will be a new creature in the lord. Although a new creature there will be daily struggles with avoiding sin. God said BE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY. We tend to think tht we cannot be holy but we hv to be holy because god said so. We cannot be holy on our own strength but seeking the holy spirit n using the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT n by the strength n power of the holy spirit are the keys. U will begin to hate sin n turn your life around towards god. Then only your life as a christian begins. We cannot inherit heaven in sin n disobedience.

Okay fine, now I'm open to this idea. But how would I go about doing this? And am I at a disadvantage if I don't ask for the intercession of my brothers and sisters in Christ?
I've heard of a prayer to St Antoni that people can use to find lost things but it was more of a rhyme and resembled A spell than a prayer, so ig I just want to avoid that.

But why would we want to pray to the saints if we can literally talk to the LIVING GOD. The LIVING GOD speaks to us through His LIVING WORD and His LIVING PEOPLE, why would you need more? Even if praying to the saints was something you could benefit from in some extra spiritual sense, why would you when when you have direct access to the LIVING GOD who created, equipped and sustained each one of the saints and their ministries? Look, you can read every book you want and quote every theologian and rationalize your position, which you have done well, but the gist of it is this; if you can speak directly to the GOD OF THE UNIVERSE and He can speak directly to you, why would pray to someone else. Also, prayer is the way we commune with God, it is not just asking or a ritual, it is way more than that - all the Psalms make that abundantly clear.

I have no doubt that the saints in heaven pray for us, but I think that there is a difference between prayers directed to God and prayers directed to other beings. I do not view the idea of prayer in the Bible as merely asking for intercession but also as a form of worship. While the Catholic position on dulia and latria may be internally consistent I do not see it born out in either the holy scripture or practice. Thanks for the video Matt!

Why would you want to pray to a person when you can just pray to God directly? That makes no sense to me. And didn't God make it very clear that once someone has been removed from the Earth, conversation with them ends?
