Jesus Christ is the only one that truly intercedes for us!

Take it from someone who used to be a catholic: YES, they do pray to saints. I used to!

1:36 There's no BETTER response to that question from the Catholic side, because any other response is a lie.

I’m Christian and I know that a real Catholic don’t pray to Saints. They ask for Intercesion just like us when we ask our brethren to pray for us. Saints in heave are alive. A Christian never dies.
BLESSINGS 🙌

I wanted to give some context for why Catholic and Orthodox Christians "pray to the saints". First of all, that term is probably misleading, and it would be better to refer to it as "seeking the intercession of the saints".

Are the saints mediators between God and man? No more than your friends and family are when they pray for you on your behalf. It is always good to ask for people, especially holy people, to pray for us, for as James writes, "The effectual prayers of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16b). This is all Catholics do when they ask for the intercession of the saints. It's hard to think of people who are more righteous than those glorified believers who are with our Lord in heaven.

This may raise the question of whether or not the saints in heaven can hear our prayers. Well, in Revelation chapter 5, we see that the 24 elders in heaven present the prayers of the saints (in this context, the members of the church) as bowls of incense before the lamb who is Christ. Also, Revelation chapter 6 shows the martyrs pleading for justice before the lord. So taking these two pictures of the heavenly worship together, it does appear that part of the heavenly worship involves the glorified believers bringing forth the supplications of those of us below fighting to stay faithful.

Hope this helps and shows that the practice isn't as crazy as it seems at first glance!

There is only one true Holy Apostolic Catholic church instituted by Jesus Christ himself

Since when did St. Paul and the other Apostles started chanting Hail Mary or prayed a prayer towards any dead Saints?

Has anyone checked with these saints, or Mary, if they're cool with people praying to them or asking them to pray on their behalf?
Just a hunch, but I get the sense they'd be face palming and pointing to Jesus right about now.

As a Christian and used to be catholic, simple research led me to this conclusion:

Virgin Mary’s last words in the Bible are “Do whatever He (Jesus) tells you” - John 2:5
And Jesus replied about Mary - Luke 11: 27, 28
Apostles didn’t want worship - Acts 10:25, 26
Even Angels didn’t want worship - Revelation 22:8, 9

So I bet saints from the past wouldn’t want worship nor prayers if they were here today…

All creation points back to the Creator: God alone is worthy of our praise, He deserves our worship, prayers and life devotion! No one else needs to help us, Christ is the one and only mediator, God is enough!

John 16:26-27
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

If I asked you to pray for me, that is completely okay. But if we ask our blessed mother who is alive in heaven to pray for me to the Lord our God, that’s somehow wrong? There is one mediator between God and man, and that’s Christ. But to say that means you can’t have intercession with anyone is a false equivocation.

Also, on the last point, we trad Christians don’t need someone in order to get to God. We can pray to God and even get baptized by a non-clergy member (if it’s an emergency). We can even die and go to heaven before having gone to confession providing we have repented from our mortal sins.

The high priest is Christ, and the priests we have on earth are called priestly ministers. Ministers simply do the actions required for Christ to act within a sacrament. Christ is ultimately the one we have to go through. Priestly ministers are on the same level as the laity, though they have more responsibility and power to enact sacraments.

I had 1 Timothy 2:5 in my head before I clicked the video and Dr. Frank nailed it. I pray to Jesus for everything all things in the name of Jesus.

WE the believer are the Saints we don't pray to them or to each other. ALOT of Christians don't even know who they are in Christ they still think they're a sinner in need of a savior. NO you're saved by The Savior and now a saint in need of the Savior because we fall short in overcoming-sin, welcome to sainthood. In the Bible, Saints are called to revere, worship, and pray to God alone.

To refute a Catholic practice you must first know our theology. For someone that knows so much knows so little of my faith.

The mediation of Jesus is for our sins, the intercession of the saints is spiritual aid.

There is seriously no argument.

Rather than praying to the Saints, I think it's more Catholics ask the Saints to pray to God for them, like the way you might ask your friend to pray for you if you had an upcoming hospital appointment

So then why do we ask each other here on earth to pray for each other? Because we know that the other person is more holier than me (perhaps I am in a state of a mortal sin). We know that his prayer is more effective than ours because the bible says, "The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working". Then why can't we ask the saints in heaven to pray for us, who are much more holier than us. Biblically speaking, St Joseph is called righteous and we know the prayer of the righteous is powerful.
Please don't say that we ask for each other's prayers here on earth because they are alive and the saints who have died are dead, because God is the God of the living not of the dead. So the saints are definitely alive in heaven!!

I don’t pray to saints but I’ve asked my Catholic friends and they explained it like asking a righteous friend to pray for you. Like if you were really sick or something and asked your church to pray for you along with praying to Jesus.

That's easy, Frank. Have you ever asked someone to pray for you? Yes? Ok, and can the souls in heaven understand what's going down on earth? Yes? Ok, and since people can pray for you, and the souls in heaven can hear and understand what's going down on earth then why is it so strange that we ask for their prayers like we would ask anyone else?

Roman Catholics don't pray to saints, they ask saints to pray FOR them. After all, in James 5:16 it says that the prayers of the righteous are more powerful and effective, so asking people who are saints to pray for us is ideal. Jesus is still the mediator.
