Splitting ball joints can be a pain without the right tool. Often they’ve been on the car for years, and have rusted. Using a big hammer and heat not only damages the car’s suspension and rubber components, but can also lead to a bent panel or smashed knuckles with the slightest slip.Use the right tool and separating ball joints is easy.
This Repco Ball Joint separator is ideal. With a drop forged, heat-treated steel body its heavy-duty construction will allow you to split tie rod ends or other ball joints up to 19mm in diameter.
With the right tool like this Repco Ball Joint separator, separating ball joints quick, easy and painless. Best of all this is a cost effective tool to have in your kit, and it’ll last for years.

If only it was this easy. The bell end who installed the last one did not use any grease. It’s not moving for anybody.

I've got that exact tool and the bolt and the pivit pin are destroyed after 3 tie rods and one balljoint,

Good for a newer car that nothing is sized on but if you're like most people and have an older car it's just not worth the danger of this thing exploding and killing you

If only it were that easy! I have to bang away with a ball ping whilst cranking on that type of separator. A pickle fork is still the best way to go! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Poor quality the screw sheared off and then was stuck on the car, had to grind it off, do not recommend
