After testing this DIY (full tutorial coming soon!) I realised that almost all those viral clips you see use a bit of visual trickery. They fool you into thinking the sticky tape layer is on the outside and many videos use extremely quick cuts to hide it. They also have to stop every 10secs and manually cut away the protective film which is not the normal way to make these balls. This tape method DOES work and it’s only a minor bit of camera deception. But after making DIY vids for 10+ years I guarantee you it’s tiny details like these that confuse the audience and can make the difference on whether a clip gets 10K or 10M views. So now you know, take a close look at the next tape ball video you see 😉!
