He knew what he was talking about as much as he used to get hit and moved, it wouldve been difficult for him to manuever in the paint back then. The rules that changed to make it harder for WC are the same rules that ended up helping MJ and those after him. Wilt was just being honest. It is a fair assessment to the question asked because he played at that time. TBH i dont think MJ would've wanted to face Wilt and Bill and Walt in the paint back then.

Wilt Chamberlain will protect the paint if they counted blocks we will all know who the best defensive player is Jordan too small for Wilt on a 1 on 1 matchup there no comparison Wilt bigger faster stronger in Wilts prime nobody stands a chance one on one

People forget that Jordan feared this man avoided him every time because he would call him out

First off, if Mike teamed up with Wilt, Mike would not need to drive to the basket unless it was a breakaway. Mike would be smart enough to feed the ball to Wilt since nobody could stop Wilt inside. Mike and Wilt would have the best inside-outside games. Mike never played with a good center. But teamed up with Wilt, they'd probably as many titles as Bill Russell.

Jordan would have had a harder time in the 60s, not the best guard of the ers, and would have had to play farther from the basket depending more on his shot

Im not sure i agree. Who does wilt think is the goat. I was born in the 70's and played ball in highschool in the 90's im not getting why he thinks jordan wouldnt own his generation. Uhhhh jordan could do more then dunk and do layups. He was the total package.

Why do old heads act like beating someone up makes you a better basketball player? Literally gives the same energy as that dude at the park that wanna fight because he got fried. It's not a flex🤦🏽‍♂️

The thing is, MJ played perhaps during the most physically demanding era. Those pistons and Knicks were WWE/WWF stars masquerading as NBAers, beating the crap out of him. Still, once he had his breakthrough title, there was no stopping him, not even Shaq and the fantastic Magic team, as he was swept by da Bulls once MJ put the whole season in.

Okay michael would dunk less and shoot the jumper more.

I wonder how many defensive players of the years did you get Will Chamberlain? How many MVPs of the league did you get hell how many MVPs in the finals did you get out of everything? I said he’s only gotten one of those accolades and it was MVP of the finals And he only did it once

Michael Jordan could not have beat wilt chamberlain one on one. Not in a million years.

Meanwhile Elgin Baylor was productive during that era and never was crushed.

You can’t really compare the two players. But if it came down to it I would say micheal.

Curry, MJ, Kobe, Bird, etc., would have destroyed Wilt's slow moving generation. Jumpers all day.
