The notion that Wilt Chamberlain was successful only because of the era he played in will now come to an end. New colorized footage of Wilt playing in the 1960s is out, and it is amazing to see what Wilt the Stilt was capable of so many decades ago!

Factsss. Apparently humans went thru millions of years of evolution since the 60s and got freakishly stronger and more athletic since then. That’s simply not the case people lol

47-50 inch vertical leap. Legendary stamina, to the point where he played every minute of an entire season without being subbed. He is one of the truest freaks of nature humans have ever produced

A simple statement sums up his greatness, when wilt chamberlain had a good team around him, he either won titles or came so close to winning, it then became only luck that decided the issue and when he only had a weaker team he invariably carried them to the playoffs of the back of his individual game!

Bill Russell won multiple titles in the same era, but he never carried the same baggage that Wilt Chamberlain carried in the nba, not least they made it harder for Wilt Chamberlain to win and yet he still dominates on every mean-full stat in his era and no one in any era has passed his legacy in the nba!

He would succeed and be a top 5 center in the league right now but now like he was then

Nate Thurmond is kareem and wilts greatest defender. Guess hes just a plumber too. Lol. That said wilt did fadeaway shots to prove he was skillful not just a brute force.

Apparently wilt said “fadeaways and finger rolls made the game more fun”

He was incredible for sure. You can't just get his stats if you were just better than the rest, he was extremely talented and a gifted athlete. Even if we can agree that the avg skill level of players was worse at his time, he was exceptional and the way he dominated, you know he can translate his game in any era. Maybe not avg 50pts a season but he would still be one of the best in the league in any era.

BRO i ALWAYS SAY THIS. "RUSSEL PADDING STATS" "WILT WAS FAKE" and these people typing this PRAISE kobe, which I DO TOO BUT, kobe said, "you suck, you aint getting the ball." Why on earth would a 7 foot, 38 inch vertical player REDUCE his efforts and NOT grab boards, block shots, dunk? Why on earth should russel westbrook have NOT jumped over people for boards, run a fucking 4.3 40 speed drive then dish it off, why SHOULDNT he lmao this trolls that never did anything worthwhile on a field court whatever, claim these men were stat padders 😂😂😂

"why would he be shooting fadeaways if he was playing against PLUMBERS"

Bro what? If you're in the post, in any era, the only way you can shoot is by (1) fading, (2) hook shot or (3) using footwork and pump fakes to orient yourself towards the hoop. Wilt stans coping hard af lol

There is a difference between talent and greatness. For instance Bill Russell was clearly greater player because he won the most rings while being the best player on that team. From the other side Wilt was obviously more skilled than Russell but he cared too much about his own rather than team accolades. And if Wilt had a Bill Russells mindset he could have been the most talented and the greatest of all time. But, he wasnt soo, stop the cap, he is not the goat, sry.

Nah I'll continue my slander thanks. But yeah he was pretty dominant. I still like shaq or giannis better.
