This video covers the process of protecting the gauge. To ensure the strain gauge is protected. we will need:
- Protective Teflon Tape
- Mastic
- Rubber
- Aluminium Tape
- Nitro B Coating

Once the glue is cured, loosen the stainless steel band and move it out of your way. Then, take off the silicon gum and carefully remove the tape from the gauges. Please hold the connectors, so you don't damage the gauge.

Then, put protective teflon tape over both strain gauges. Carefully lift the wire of the strain gauges and put a small amount of mastic under them.

Next, cut a bigger piece of mastic and place it over the teflon tape. Make sure you work it in with your fingers and place neoprene rubber on top of it. Then, put two pieces of aluminium tape on top of it, overlapping them in the middle and making sure to smooth any creases with a pair of scissors.

Lastly, shake Nitro B coating and apply it all around the edge and overlapping area of the aluminium tape.
