Hurricane Milton on track to hit Florida as a major Category 3 storm

Hurricane Milton is making its way across the Gulf of Mexico and heading towards Florida's west coast and could hit as a powerful Category 3 storm. The area is still reeling from damage left by Hurricane Helene. NBC News' Angie Lassman and Marissa Parra report.

When we know there's a hurricane of this magnitude approaching, there should be free train, bus, and plane rides evacuating people to free hotels located far away from the path of the hurricane. All travel and hotel expenses to be covered by the government. If they can cover major expenses for wars, they can cover expenses to save lives.
