Are you keeping your controller or buying one? LMK

I like the modular joystick. EVERY controller I’ve ever had, no matter the manufacturer had stick drift after a while. The fact that you can just replace the joystick and the entire controller doesn’t go down the drain is excellent.

I will never buy a scuf again, I've had two, and they both broke in less than 2 months. I bought this controller yesterday, and I'm happy. I'm sure the battery life and more paddles and customization will come.

Controller drift is usually a usage issue not a software thing so how would they have fixed it? The replacement joysticks are a Godsend now it’s 20 dollars instead of replacing an entire controller.

Agreed brother. Also, the embeded PS logos on the back of L2 and R2 make my hands hurt after a long session, that was a bad idea as well. That is definitely a controller that is not worth 200 dollars.

Personally, the convenience of being able to replace my own sticks instead of sending in it for repair and having to wait is worth it to me.

Very insightful man. Thanks. Keep it up.

Planning to buy one soon. 🤘

I heard you can't map R3 to the back paddles, is this true?

One of the best HIDDEN FEATURE of this controller is the rounded edges at the bottom of the controller! On the normal Ps5 controller I usually get a sore pinky finger, on the duelsense controller they rounded it off & feels wayy better to hold.

I’m buying one for sure. Poor battery life is nothing as I play with my controller wired up anyway. And the flaw about the changeable sticks is great news! It means I don’t have to send it in or buy a new controller.
Also, they are a little cheaper than the modded controllers out there. The bad thing about kidded controllers is they have been opened so the one year guarantee you get from Sony becomes void.

Great review! Agree on all points! Rocking the scuff and getting the razer v2 pro as an additional controller. Also seen the grips go bad on the dualsense edge. If they can add the extra paddles and fix the battery and grip issue and give a year waranty on the joysticks with free replacement if needed then they will have nailed it. You shouldnt have to replace new parts on a 200$ controller

I subscribed my friend! Just saw this controller at Wal Mart yesterday and really wanted to get it but didn’t have access to my cash so I had to wait…now I’m not so sure I wanna drop $200…

I wanted to like it and I did, aside from the battery drain and price tag, it's still a deal breaker. Sent it back and will wait till Black Friday or if they come out with something better. It's great on MW2 and Forbidden West, I found my reaction speed/finger reflex doing better on the original controllers because of muscle memory over time, takes a bit of time to adapt to the edges new features and not accidentally hitting the back paddles when using the front triggers.

Fast question...I can program each button and tab to what I want it to be? as in if I am used to playing Legacy on COD, I can program exact config to Chivalry 2 or Last of Us? Thanks in advance, Im subscribed!

I would say the price is expensive, but fair when compared to other pro controllers.

They do sell the consoles (both PS and Xbox) at a loss and just profit off the games and subsiptions (makes sense). This makes the consoles cheap and makes the edge controller even more expensive if you do that comparison.

I hate the battery life and having just 2 back buttons/pedals. Still a solid pro controller all things considered.

The problem with the analog sticks is that all controllers now still may get stick drift. So I see the modular sticks on the Edge controller as good thing.

Right now, I am only considering getting either the Edge controller or the DIY mods for your existing controller by Xtremerate (very good and a lot cheaper way of getting pro features on stock controllers).

I traded in my 2 free very used controllers and got it down to 120. I say that’s worth it to me.

Microsoft didn’t do Hall effect sticks, either. Sony isn’t the only company that “didn’t do it right” with their pro controllers. At least you can replace the modules with the Edge dualsense.
