Some good points to think about. I never thought about how the high resolution wouldn't affect videos. I guess that's best if you do a lot of reading.

I bought the ASUS Transformer Infinity, 3 of my 4 friends with the iPad 2/3 LOVE my tablet better than their iPad 2 now. I have real internet, real productivity and compatibility of files between different apps, lighter and thinner than the iPad3, and No ridiculous, expensive adapters. It turns into a netbook with the keyboard dock that charges my tablet at the same time!! I can add a 32gb sd card to make it a 64gb tablet if I want. Happy to say that iAm not an iRobot ;)

Everyone should just adopt 1080p as a standard. The retina display isn't much of a difference from 1080p and it makes everything use up more memory on a already slim 64gb cap. Also anything below 1080p is starting to be too low of a resolution, especially for tablets.

@Parsigi I have the new iPad lol it is good I think it is the best because it is so easy to use... maybe the specs are not the best but it is so fluid and easy to use... I know android tablet can do more but there is a learning curve

I never really got what was the big deal about the i-pad. Unless, you absolutely have to be standing and moving around a lot (meaning you're probably not doing any serious computer work), wouldn't it be better to just have a small, cheap $300-$400 laptop? They even have third party add on keyboard/touchpad kits for i-pads that essentially convert them back to a laptop. :-/

No. I went from laptop to iPad. It can navigate the boat, send emails, play video's at night, create movies of our guests and has access to like a billion apps. My laptop was a hard drive that just spun endlessly half the time. This is the perfect product for us, and it is lighter and uses LESS power than the laptop, and can be charged from a 12 volt source. It's PERFECT.

got the new iPad and it's amazing. and if you have both the previous iPad and the new one. you won't really realise that the retina display is better. well, if you are like me and choose android as your phone. but retina iPad is great and looks and feels amazing.
