I was disappointed in this suitcase, I could barely get one pair of jeans in it. 0/10 wouldn't carry luggage.

Dude, none of these are your opinions, you're literally just stating facts.

The crosley turntable was what got me into records 4 years ago. Now I have an audio technica turntable.

In the spec of vinyl records, the original manufactures said from 4-6 grams.
I can assure you, 5 grams will not damage your records.
If you get one of these as a gift, or buy one because you're on a budget, please don't worry. Get a diamond stylus, and you will be fine!

I like how the advertisements below the video are a bunch of Crosley record players.

THANK YOU! I was just about to buy a Crosley because my friends have it and they're trendy but I do my research and THANKS again

My first record player was a plastic suitcase model, but not a Crosley. It was a GE model from around 1970. I’d imagine it was far worse than a Crosley, actually. I was three years old, though, so I didn’t care. I just wanted to play records. It wasn’t until I was about eight years old that I got a semi-decent record player. A real turntable came along by my eleventh birthday. My parents thought I was strange for always wanting to look at turntables while every other boy my age wanted to play sports...

I knew Barnes and Noble and Urban Outfitters had them, but fucking WHOLE FOODS? That's hipster on a whole new level.

What you don't understand is that there is a market for Crosley's. My brother has one. All he wants to do is occasionally listen to one of his old albums from the 70's. It works fine for that. Not everyone aspires to be an audiophile. How many millions of people listen to shiity sounding mp3's with shiity ten cent ear plugs. Are crosley's junk? maybe but it's fine for some people. Not me though.

you should make a video where you buy one and try to make it better by replacing parts, etc.

Actually, crosleys are a great way of getting into record collecting. I wouldn’t recommend it for long time use, but they are not as bad as stated in this video. Croselys don’t actually harm the records as stated in this video, however they do wear your records slightly faster than usual, so I wouldn’t use any valuable records on there. But it is perfect for beginners.

They're all good reasons. But many people have old records sitting around that will just end up in the trash. They don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a decent player just for a hit of nostalgia.

I agree with a lot of the comments about getting what you can afford, and what suits your tastes. I started out with my parents' old record collection, some of which are in pretty rough shape, and a Victrola suitcase player.

However, once I started buying my own records, I started thinking about longevity, and how a better turntable would be better for the records physically and sound wise. So I think, if you're in it for the long haul, save up to buy a quality player if you can.

Look I respect your opinion, but when your a teenager with a tight budget these turntables become appealing. I just got my first Victrola which is basically another version of the Crosely. I had also found this turntable at a half price books for under $40 and was in good condition, I even had the guy play a beetles album on it and it sounded great for under $40. I bought the turntable and has been a great one to have. I will most likely get a better one in the future but for now this is my baby
