To be honest, what I find is that listening sections part 4 and 1 become as simple as eating butter, but part 2 and 3 are way more difficult than you

I got band 8 in listening. The easiest part for me is part 4, then 1 and 2, then 3. I have found part 3 as the hardest part for me. Somehow, I always get 9 or 10 in part 4th. But 8, 9 on parts 1 and 2 😂 and part 3 go by luck 😂😂😂😂

Should I write all the answers with capital letters in the answer sheet? Is it okay to write with small letters except for names?

Xasanboy Soibjonov:
Some people say we do not need printed paper newspapers any more.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

SAMPLE ANSWER A

There is a view that printed newspapers are no longer necessary. While I can understand the reasons why traditional papers need to stay, I, for the most part, agree with this proposition.

Printed newspapers might still be relevant because of older demographics, who are thought to be less tech savvy, thus failing to learn the latest news. While this might be the case with a large segment of the current old generation, I believe in the years to come Millennials, who grew up with the internet, will replace the current old generation, nullifying this argument. Another reason is related to how these papers are perceived as being more reliable for they are subject to rigorous editing before they are published, which, some argue, might not be true for internet-based news sites.

Despite these reasons, I believe traditional newspapers are obsolete, and not anymore should be published. The main reason is their It is common knowledge that to produce newspapers, a large number of trees need to be cut down, which poses a serious threat to the environment. Given the scale of environmental problems the world is facing right now, we need to put an immediate halt to publishing conventional newspapers.

Furthermore, the argument that newspapers are more credible does not hold true, considering the features web-based news sites offer. Most such websites allow the readers to share their views in the comments section where any sort of bias on the part of the author of the article can be pointed out, and links to accurate sources might be shared, if necessary. Similarly, most social media sites, where news outlets have their pages, have their fact-checking team so that any false news published by the said news outlets can be called out, which is not possible when printed newspapers come out.

To sum up, the environmental concerns and the change in the way people keep abreast of the events taking place in their country and in the world mean that some people see printed newspapers as being irrelevant in the 21st century. This is the view I generally agree with although it can be convenient for the current old generation.

SAMPLE ANSWER B

It is sometimes argued that printed versions of newspapers have already become a thing of the past and people do not need them at all. Although it is now possible to read news online without resorting to traditional newspapers, I do not subscribe to the idea that they have become obsolete.

On the one hand, it is hard to ignore the benefits associated with online newspapers or their electronic versions. To begin with, they are fast and easily accessible. When major news breaks out, it usually takes minutes for it to appear in the web-based version of a newspaper, a feat that cannot be achieved in the traditional press due to organizational constraints. A variety of interactive elements present in online newspapers can also be appealing to today’s audiences. News accompanied by colorful, high-resolution photos or videos cannot simply be replicated in the printed media.

However, I do not believe that these conveniences will spell the end of traditional newspapers, at least not for now. The main reason for this is that there are those who still enjoy turning the pages of newspapers and are accustomed to this mode of consuming news. Even though they are in a small minority, I do believe that even the appeal of digital media cannot persuade them to abandon that long-established habit of theirs. Additionally, the traditional newspaper industry is not going to give up easily in this competition. They are coming up with innovative and creative ways of enticing people to stick with them or persuading those who prioritize more modern ways of consuming news.

They are employing tactics such as door-to-door delivery, affordable annual subscriptions and exclusive, high-quality content, which will enable them to stay in this business for quite a while.

In conclusion, while some people argue that the days of printed newspapers are numbered, I would argue that they will remain in business in years to come.
