What was crucifixion like?

Crucifixion was one of the most dreaded and painful forms of execution in ancient times. Yet, because almost all depictions of Jesus on the cross were painted centuries later, our image of the death of Christ is in many ways incorrect. This short video teaches a few things about what we do know about crucifixion, and what it teaches us about the Savior.

To think that Jesus did this for us... A man who never sinned... A very humble king... People thought the messiah would show up in a clothing of silk, on a horse with a golden crown.... But he showed up wearing rags, riding a donkey and a crown of thorns. This is truly how great God is how great his love is... How wonderful Jesus really is... He ate with sinful people.... He loved us despite us being sinners. Because of his death we were them given eternal life instead of death... If we believe in him!!

I cannot imagine the horrible pain the crucifixion process was. But also imagine the stress and anxiety Jesus went thru every single second knowing he was going to go thru all of it and that many people wouldn’t even believe in him after he did that. It’s just horrible 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
