As sad and violent as it is the passion of the Christ is the most realistic depiction of what Jesus went through. I don’t know how Jesus withstood this and I’m not sure if I’ll ever truly understand his willingness to do this for everyone, including me 🥺 but I love Jesus so much.

I was on a trip in Israel once years ago when I was 9, I was at a place where the thorns were collected by Roman soldiers to make the crown, and was pricked in the ankle by one. It was a light prick, but I bled SO MUCH! It was very painful too, I can't imagine what it would feel like to have a whole bunch of those thorns twisted into your head!!

Amen! Perfect description of the human pain Jesus Christ has to go through. The spiritual pain must of been heavy as well. God cannot look at sin which means He had to turn His back on His Son while He was on the cross. 🙏😌. We will never know how painful it really was for Jesus. He did this for us who deserve death. A free gift for us and yet some people refuse to take the eternal gift of life. 😢
