Wow! Thank you. I'm 56 and always look for things to help. Most doctors aren't familiar with supplements and some doctors absolutely hate supplements. I had one of those. My current doctor of 10 years retired suddenly and sent out patients their last 3 labs and refills on all prescriptions. It's been difficult for all patients and I have to find a new doctor. I wish I lived close to you!
I'm going to look into this. Thank you.❤

Thank you for this info. I've never heard of HMB - I just looked up natural sources, which are said to include:

Milk and Greek yogurt
Soybeans
Beef and chicken
Avocado
Grapefruit
Cauliflower
Catfish
Alfalfa

I eat a plenty of Greek yogurt and dairy products, beef and chicken, avocadoes and cauliflower, so I'm wondering if I'm getting sufficient amounts of HMB in my diet. I'm 73 - if I get good sleep, I'm still sharp as a tack, lol. I'll mention this to my naturopath next time I see him.

I have been very discouraged lately over not being able to remember the actual content of a huge amount of research I've done over the years. I will take some HMB and see if anything comes back to me.

Dr. Andrea, could you please investigate the supplement, NMN?

Thanks for the info. If it helps with communication from the brain to the muscles in the body this may really help me with my myasthenia gravis. I will hopefully find it here in Canada and see what happens.

Hi, Dr. Andrea and happy new year! I'm interested in anything to help maintain brain health, but hmb has hormones and I'm reluctant to take anything with hormones due to an increase in chances of cancer. I'm sure there are different types of hormones and maybe some don't have that effect of increasing cancer. What are your thoughts about the hormones in hmb?

Dr. O'Connor can you recommend a good supplement brand? I currently buy from Life Extension. I always wonder if there is better out there. Never heard of HMB. I will research it. 😊

How in the world do they determine mice/rats have Alzheimers? Never heard of HMB. Wonder if it would help fend off strokes.
