That's not just good build quality. That's phenomenal maintenance.

Congrats to the owner of that light blue Accord. It still looks wonderful and hopefully he pushes it over another million miles. Those older Hondas from the 80s and 90s are the best ones. 🙏👐

In 2014 when he hit 1 million miles, Honda gave him a brand new fully loaded Accord. I remember seeing this on the news. Cool to see his car is still getting the love it deserves.

Huge credit to the owner. No vehicle lasts that long without the proper maintenance and you can tell the owner really takes great care of it, based on how the car looks inside and out.

It's not just build quality, this is what happens when someone actually takes care of the things they own.

Honda should buy it off him, get it detailed and display it in one of their dealers, then gift him a new Honda as a token of appreciation!

And the fact it's registered in New England too. I can only imagine how much work went into fighting off rust over such a long time.

Mines currently on 500k miles on the original engine, cb accords are truly one of the most reliable vehicles

I had the same car, a 1992 honda accord. My sister gave it to me, i drove it for years, sold it to my friend, he drove it for years, I bought it back from him and drove it for years, then sold it to my other friend and he drove it for years. It was honestly one of the most reliable cars I’ve owned and trusted to take on a road trip anywhere because it was so reliable and trusting

I went to 327, 000 miles in my 1989 Honda accord. I bought it second hand and admittedly beat the hell out of it. I eventually sold it when the transmission went out and couldn’t afford to get a new one. Best car I ever had. Rode like you were on a cloud. ❤

I had an 89 accord, power everything, sunroof, flip up lights, 5 speed. It was by far my favorite vehicle I ever owned.

Those older Honda's were almost indestructible, but not completely! As I've said many many times! Maintenance and no being hard on it, is the key! There are many manufacturers that were and are garbage! No matter what you do to make it last longer, it won't! My 2002 F-250 4x4 5.4 liter 2 valve, is a testament to diligent maintenance! 367k miles, and has been well used by a farmer!

Had a 1992 Accord LX 2.2 Liter, 5 Speed manual, 2 door w/o sunroof.

Old girl had 658, 980 miles and ran like a CHAMP.. Original engine, clutch, and transmission. She ran beautifully, and I regret ever getting rid of her.

This video is modestly tearjerking, heh

When cars were built to last not be replaced. Miss the days of the 80s and 90s cars from Japan.

It wouldn’t have been 72 SETS of tires. It would be 72 actual tires and 18 sets of 4 tires

It has a Maine plate, but looks like it doesn’t have any rust. That’s incredible!
