This is how you extend your career while in an ideal situation. The man has finally learned to use his wisdom

It's just a less toxic environment overall. He can play the game that he loves without being criticized after the simplest of mistake. He plays his hearts out, and I've been following him since 2014.

Props to Ty Lue. He found a way to optimally use WB on this team.

The clips have just gathered all of my favorite players and rolled with it. Love seeing Russ get some of the love he's deserved for so long.

Russ is one of my favourite players ever. He might have some flaws but the energy he has always brought to the court is contagious. I hope he knows most fans support him even if the media did him wrong. Well he has made so much money I'm sure he's not bothered by that. It would be cool to see him get a ring to put the icing on top of a fantastic career

Westbrook has always been an elite rebounder/slasher.
Finally a coach/team utilized his strength the right way

Westbrook has said in interviews this year that he feels he's playing the best defense of his career. He's always been well rounded... I mean who else used to average triple doubles? How many times?

Moving to the bench is absolutely a great decision for westbrook, especially as someone who relies so much on his speed at his age less wear and tear will extend his career for a few more years easily.

We go through this with a lot of stars. They aren’t the players they once were, then have a hard time adjusting. Then they struggle for a couple years until they learn how to be a role player. Then they either fall off or enter a sort of second prime and figure it out. One example recently is Melo. Klay is going through the transition right now for another example. It shocked me how many people gave up on Russ with his attitude and work ethic but it’s clear he’s figured out how to be a role player and a great one at that

The most efficent season from Westbrook was his stint in Houston. 27ppg 52% from the field that was the best version of Russell Westbrook, and were seeing that this year on a much smaller scale than back in 2019-20

Watching Westbrook chase makes me think he used to play d-end and never forgot how to drop a shoulder and run those tight corners

The fact that Rus comes off the bench only proves how idiotically stacked the Clippers are. But for real, using him as a 6 man is highly tactical. He always dominates the substitutions, boosting his teams momentum while opponents loose rhythm. Plus he’s just fun to watch, gotta love the Russell hustle. Great video, he deserves the credit.
