There are many walkarounds for the TX what would have been nice to see is more of a focus on the phev aspects of the vehicle. Range, power, NVH. That V6 is legendary and is known to last 300k miles when built in Japan as this one is, pair that with electric propulsion and this drivetrain is near guaranteed 500k miles. The $80k price tag becomes easier to swallow.

You are spot on about the TX Mark Levinson audio system. Lots of people on forums complaining about the lack of bass.

noticed there was no real feedback on the drivability. i know they're fast AF and still get high 20's MPG's. if i had 30+ EV only range, i'd never need gas for work commutes, only longer drive. it is appealing and current lease offers are really good, just cannot find a TX 550H for sale in America right now, gotta wait for 2025's to start shipping

I’m in the minority in this, but I find it easier to differentiate the exterior body styling between the GH and the TX. I can see the doors that are the same, styling wise, and that’s about it. Even in person, I think both looks really different.

Overall nice review Jon!

Nice review and a very beautiful AND practical vehicle! I’m glad they at least have options without sunroof. I have owned cars with sunroofs and never used them. I’d buy the one without the sun/moon/panoramic roof . It naturally improves structural integrity and reduces the possibility of water intrusion into the cabin

No way this justifies $80k. Lexus are out of their minds.

The Mazda PHEV reliability is unknown. So I’d take the TX.

Lexus suspension is super quality as well as other features. But at this level might as well do a Limited Grand Highlander. Toyota/Lexus is notorious for their audio being too tinny…. Not enough mids & bass. Also, if you can afford that price tag, you can also afford to fix all the bells and whistles on that thing.

Nice station wagon. I agree with others Mazda cx90 better looking and less money.

Jon, you need some twins of your own and double stroller to fill that thing up. 😆

Its great car. But missing panorama glass which open. And turbos and F model for this v6.
Soft closing doors.
Does it have massage? And offcourse missing 7 seater or 8 seater option. Wtf LEXUS....

Definitely not worth 80K where you can get GLS which has nice interior, great 6 cyl engine

Not worth the $$ or value. Rather put that kind of dough towards a new 7 seater GX550. Better use off road and if you need a true minivan, then get a Sienna or Odyssey

Who really wants to fill up their gas tank and then charge their battery?
Not me, that’s for sure.

Not really, the Mazda CX90 PHEV is better value and has better performance and handling

Dude I don’t think anyone actually cares about the sun roof. Answer me this, when was the last time you used it and genuinely enjoyed using it????
