Two nurses and their tour guide driver were killed after their Jeep plunged over a cliff along Camp Bird Road in the Colorado mountains. Arizona tourists Diana Robles, Ofelia Figueroa-Perez and their driver, Don Fehd, were all killed when their 2022 Jeep plunged 100 feet off a cliff. The 28-year-old and her aunt were both dedicated nurses from Yuma. Before the crash, Robles took a picture of the iconic Imogene Pass.

If I were a passenger, I would honestly get out of the car and walk behind it. Just watching this video gave me the shivers.

I’ve always absolutely hated driving on mountain roads, even fully paved ones with guard rails, for fear of this exact thing happening. Nightmare scenario.

I hate drivers that need to look at you when their talking.

I almost fell off a section just like this driving in Colorado.... I came within a few short inches of going off, definitely learnt to respect such trails after that and never approached things with such disregard again as prior to that I was just too overly confident for having done so numerous times, but things can always go wrong no matter how many times you've been on the said trail!

Having grown up in a Colorado mountain town, the roads here can be a nightmare—especially in the winter. We never had a road this extreme where I was, but I’ve seen cars plunge off major highways like 285 & C470 into the abyss below. May God comfort the families of those lost in this tragedy. 😞

My partner and I went on a tour with Don Fehd a few years ago up in the same area. He was a very good driver and a very nice, nature-loving man. I cannot imagine him making a rookie mistake due to all his experience. I can't help but wonder if a boulder fell or part of the road gave way causing this tragic accident. My prayers go out to all involved as well to their friends and families.

We had a road in NC that was and likely still is like this. One morning an elementary school bus was driving along. It was raining. A dump truck loaded with gravel was flying the other direction. The training for the bus driver was to pull safely to the side and let the other vehicle pass. The driver could not see the side of the road clearly in the rain. A tire dropped off the dirt road. Then the whole bus rolled down the ravine. Helicopters from Charlotte came to rescue the children and the driver. There were no fatalities. The driver was found to have followed her training. She recovered and returned to continue driving the bus. I learned about this when I was at the bus garage for new drivers training. The wreckage of the bus was towed in. It was a harrowing sight. I was assigned to the same elementary school where to my surprise this had happened. The driver I talked to said that this was her bus. She told me her story that I just shared with you.

Sending my prayers and condolences to the victims' families. What a terrifying way for your life to end.

There's nothing that road leads to that I would ever need. So sorry for the victims. RIP

How can one soak up the sights and breathe in fresh air aboard a vehicle that teeters on the edge of a cliff? May the victims of this accident rest in peace.

I went off 150 ft cliff in the Colorado Rockies during our Bicentennial, the driver had been drinking! The car rolled down 100 ft at an 80° angle and the last 50 ft a mid-air spin the last 50ft! A girl went out the back window and the car landed on top of her! Two of us pick the car up and a third one pulled the girl out from underneath and we all walked away! True story, Evergreen Colorado Fourth of July 1976!

In 1986 I drove this road in a 1976 Plymouth Volare, all the way to the Wright Lake trailhead to climb Mt. Sneffels. The worst part was the next day, when my brakes started to smoke on the way down. Volare, woah woah.

I’ve done this road and yes, it’s a very tense and in my case, nauseating experience. Condolences to the families of these three souls.

Reminds me of when I was 18 and in a rocky relationship of 2 years. We were going on vacation and my gf told me she knew a shortcut. I agreed, she knew I was terrified of heights and sent us on a road exactly like this that was impossible to turn around and a 1000 foot cliff, I had a damn mini truck at the time. After we barely survived I turned around took her home and never talked to her again.

That is so devastating because they hired a professional tour guide. I can’t even image their last moments. Prayers for the victims and families.

Just awful. Poor ladies trusted the guide. I haven't been a passenger in a car for at least 20 years. Can't imagine letting someone else drive on that trail.
