Dr. Leighton Flowers (a professor & former Calvinist), is the Director of Evangelism and Apologetics for Texas Baptists and hosts Soteriology 101. He recently watched a debate between Warren McGrew of Idol Killer and Matt Slick of CARM. He said some very nice things about Warren and the points he made which we're all to happy to showcase here.

Please keep doing what you are doing Warren. I know there are many like myself that have been affected by original sin/total depravity coming from a classical Protestant upbringing. I began to see God as unfair with total depravity/original sin that I began to doubt God. But now after studying and listening and researching that this is a lie and not of God, a real misunderstanding, God has helped me to see Him in the right way. Now my faith is restored in God who is good, right and just. Praise God. Just want to say your teaching is helping people. It’s helping people see the right view of God and His goodness. God bless you Warren.

Hey Warren, I’m curious how your wife reacted after that Saturday when God showed you His Truth.

Was she only a Calvinist because you were?

Was she relieved?

I get this feeling there’s thousands of wives out there in submission to their reformed husbands who deep down inside their hearts do not believe what their husbands do but can’t speak out against them.

Almost like they’re in bondage.

I’m sure some wives are die hard Calvinists on their own but I have this feeling there’s a lot of suppressed women in spiritual bondage because their husbands are Calvinists and they feel the need just to go along with them as a “good little housewife.”

Any thoughts?
