Apple's yearly upgrade strategy is sometimes more complicated than users would like. The Pro models usually get a full refresh each year, so your decision to stick with that phone another year or upgrade really depends on how much you care about the changes, and even those are usually minor.

Now the case of the regular models is a different story. Apple doesn't just make the changes between them a bit more of a blur, but then decides to keep the older model for another year, or sometimes even two at a discounted price. Obviously going for 2019's iPhone 11 might be a hard sell given it's legacy features, but things change if you don't go that far.

On one corner we have the iPhone 13, what Apple dubs as your new Super Power for whatever odd reason, and on the other we have the iPhone 12, what Apple considered last year as Blast Past Fast. The price difference between them is so insignificant that all we need to determine now is if the newer model is really worth it. I just got the 13 and so far I have no complaints. I would have purchased the pro but a lot of the features I know I would never use.

I just got iphone 12 mini "my first iphone" I don't mind it's battery life as it is my secondary phone.. plus I got it for 33990 inr which roughly converts to $454! And I'm loving every bit of it. It's so hassle-free to carry even while running.

I have the 12 and I have never had any issues with battery. I am a moderate to power user and can get to the whole day with great battery by 9pm before charging

Still using my 12 since launch, at 91% battery health and I can still get through a day with light to moderate use. Never thought to consider to the 13 despite the leap in battery life, and everything else is pretty much the same. Hopefully the 14 brings bigger changes since I'll likely upgrade by then.

I’m getting the 13 tomorrow, upgrading from my iPhone 6. And for this, difference will be more obvious. If you’re coming from a 12 or an 11, I don’t see it as a big jump.

Thanks for this video! Finally upgrading from my iPhone 7 which I've held on to for years to an iPhone 12. Was thinking about the 13 but the really small improvements didn't seem to justify the price for me. Got a good deal on a 12 with 128GB storage so I'm happy:)

I would be honest, I upgraded from the 11 normal to 12 because of the screen. Yes it was a huge difference but battery isn’t that great as well. For me if I were to upgrade this year, I would go straight for the pro models. I am just going to wait for next year as I am pretty sure all models will come with pro motion.

Something is weird with the iPhone 13 Picture algorithm there’s less detail than the 11 and 12 and then the colors just look washed out I sure hope they fix it soon

I went from a XR to a 128gb 12 off a good deal from my carrier. The screen and battery is better for sure. I don’t really use my camera as often as I would like to, so saving $420 off my total cost for my 12 was well worth it.

If I were not in my right mind and was considering an iPhone for my next device, I'd get the iPhone 12. The 13 isn't worth the asking price.

Battery life better screen brightness and Camera make this phone Great. Like every galaxy phone the next best thing is always around the corner but the thing is this android isn’t great for apps. After switching to an iPhone the apps run smoother and better on an iPhone and a Apple Watch

The extra 64gb and battery life make the 13 worth it. Maybe not if coming from a 12 but from previous models it is a great phone
