I bought the SE when it came out 1.5 years ago to get a taste in the ecosystem (followed by the Apple watch 6), because I already had a Macbook for work. I loved that phone, except for the miserable battery life and the horrendous fingerprint scanner that just does not work with sweaty fingers (migrated from the Galaxy S10E, which has a waaaay better one built into the power button). I was waiting for this refresh to come and went all in for the 13 Pro Max, because I've never had a large phone before, I always went for the "mini" whenever I had a chance, but not gonna lie, I love this form factor. I got used to the weight in 4-5 minutes even after using an SE for 1.5 years, and the battery life feels like salvation.

I'm happy to have bought the 12 on sale. It's reasonably good and for the mainstream customer like me, an extra 1.5 hours of battery and image stabilisation isn't worth spending the full retail price for the 13. I suggest others to save money and get the 12 series and then upgrade to the 14 or 15 series if it's not having any bezels and no camera bump with a punch-hole display.

Just upgraded from a 7 to a 13 and the 5 year wait was absolutely worth it. The battery lasts way longer, the larger screen is so much brighter, and while it lacks the 120hz display of the Pro models, I think that this phone’s battery will age better in the long term because the higher refresh rate could potentially degrade batteries

The 11 to the 12 was a solid upgrade.
OLED screen which is by far sharper and better looking than the 11’s LCD, and the 5G connectivity were the two factors that for me made the biggest difference.

I upgraded the wife’s XR to a lavender/purple iPhone 12- here’s the killer- the trade in on the XR was valued at $700, between Apple & carrier incentives, making a 12 with 256GB of storage, $150.00. I think that’s the best deal to be had!

Nice video. Let’s drop some thoughts on the table though. 1) the availability. I tried very hard to find an iPhone 13 mini here in Cyprus, EU and I failed. I was stuck with an iPhone 8 from 2017, one of my favorite phones ever but the battery was almost nonexistent to this point. Because I didn’t want something bigger than the 8/SE/mini size my two and only available choices was the iPhone SE2 or 12 mini, so I bought the later. 2) the battery life. I have viewed almost every single review of the iPhone 12/13 mini on YouTube and no one has got those iPhones on their right context! Just take a look on all the comments below those reviews and almost all the people who likes the mini iPhones are also very satisfied with the battery. Why? Because mini iPhones aren’t meant to be used the same way as their bigger siblings and people who buy them knows it well. If you like mobile gaming or a pro video recorder or an editing machine you must go for a pro max, not the mini. In my not that light usage, (day long Apple Music or podcast, constantly on 5G, lots of emails and web browsing and social media and shooting a couple of photos or videos) I end the day with 20-30% battery to spare. 3) the price and the longevity. Let’s be honest, iPhones have support for 5-6 years but that doesn’t mean they can last that while. Perfect example my iPhone 8. I bought it in 2017 brand new and I have it today unscratched as my second phone in a perfect condition except… the battery! The battery health (according to battery settings) is 93% (I doubt it though) but it can’t last beyond 2 hours screen on time. Note that I have treated it well as much as I can, charged it between 40-85% without fast charging… but no. In my experience, you can’t hold to an iPhone for more than 4 years, so even an iPhone 12 is very nice option given the price.

I bought the iPhone 12 mini because of its price, with all the offers and discounts it cost me $460 for the 128gb version, I just wanted a small camera centric secondary smartphone as I usually use 2 smartphones (1 android and other ios) and I have already pre-ordered the pixel 6 for official use, and the mini is for my personal use

I upgraded from Xiaomi Mi9 SE to the Iphone 11 it’s amazing feels way more premium even though I downgraded from an OLED display can’t really notice a difference tbh battery health is great (been using the xiaomi for 2 year and it required for me to charge 5 times in a heavy use day) no lagging very fast just awesome overall

I currently have an 11, and intended to upgrade to the iPhone 13 mini. When the 13 mini came, I realized that I enjoyed the larger screen size far more than I thought I did. Decided to to return the mini. I actual like the color on the display of the 11 over the 13 mini, but, wowza! the quality of video on the mini was amazing! My wife and kids all have the SE and they love their phones. The SE is a great first phone for kids.

I have made my decision. I’m gonna get the 13, because spending $200 more for an extra camera, bigger battery and smoother display isn’t worth it.

Iphone 13 appears to be the first OLED iphone I am able to use as all previous models gave me searing eye pain and headaches. The 13 Pro and 13 Mini also gave me a nasty migraine. I would have been happier with the 13 Mini as I'm ready for a smaller phone after using a 7 Plus for 5 years. But the 13 is a nice upgrade, just not sure the flat sides are hand friendly. *UPDATE: nope. Iphone 13 gave me motion sickness feeling that never passed. Had to return.

if u are casual user, just get the cheapest device u can buy apple, you wont miss much. Don't let the marketing team tell you what you need.
