At ReDriven, we’ll be taking you through the pros and cons of a huge range of used cars to see how well they’re going now that they’re a few years old, have thousands of kilometres on the clock, and are coming toward the end of their warranty, or maybe don’t have one at all.

Plus, thanks to our resident mechanic, Jim, you’ll find out what commonly goes wrong with them and what might need to be fixed.

Most importantly, we want to make ReDriven a voice for the most in-the-know used car experts there are...you guys.. See, you’re the ones that actually buy, live with, love and sometimes unfortunately hate the cars we’ll be reviewing.

So we want to hear your thoughts. Hit us up in the comments, or on Instagram and Facebook.

We’d love nothing more than for you to give us as much feedback as possible, so we can make this channel the best it can be.

I have this problem where I watch these reviews then want to own all the cars in this list for the sake of it but then I remember money don’t grow on trees 😴🤷

An acquaintance of mine had a 7 Series BMW. He paid $140, 000 new for it. Seven years later he went to buy a new one & wanted to trade his 7 Series. The trade-in price the BMW dealer offered was $7, 000!! He was gob-smacked & has not bought any BMWs since!

Honda Legend should've had an honourable mention, we've had a second gen coupe, third gen sedan and fourth gen sedan in the family over the years... highly overlooked but incredible cars and pretty rare since very few people ever bought them here

Honourable mentions: Ford Fairlane/LTD and the Holden Caprice/Statesman

I'd take the MY2004 Lexus LS430 from this list.
Apart from gaining the 6 speed auto as mentioned, recline/massage rear seats became a standard feature and the aesthetics improved as well.

A great list and an awesome video! My dad owned a 2001 LS430 President, it was such an amazing thing, super reliable, quick for its size and age (it was already 10 years old at that point), and extremely luxurious. 4-zone climate control, electrically operated/heated/massaged REAR seats with memory, electric shades, fridge, laser-guided cruise control and so much more. Reliable too, loved that car.

If you ever want to do a full length video on the Century, feel free to use mine any time! Would love to see it reviewed. I’m in Lake Macquarie and work in Newcastle so nice and local. I used it as a daily for a year so you might’ve seen it boating around.

The Lexus GS is a great option aswell . My 06 430 has been my favorite car so far. I never thought I’d like luxury cars until I picked this up. I’ve always been into lightweight small cars like corrados, civic si’s and even minis

Can you do an episode between an old Lexus LS and a modern flagship Aurion/Camry? Keep up the good work!

I have had the honour of owning a W116 280 SEL. Wow, what a car. The only car that I've ever driven that was better than that was my mate's W126 420 SEL. Even the E classes from this period were incredibly good vehicles. It is such a shame that Mercedes Benz has given up building cars of this standard. A greater shame is that even if you own a contemporary Mercedes, if you haven't driven an earlier model, you have no idea what a Benz should be.

I have a LS 430 with 708, 000 kms on it yes that’s correct K’s give or take a few, Yep keep the maintenance up and services up these cars a pretty bullet proof mines silky smooth and old and young love riding in it I have two fixes that are common needs rocker cover gasket’s replaced and a leaking rear strut but with that mileage I’m ok with that. Another great vid guys 👍 Oh yeah I’d own a Century too really nice and a step up from Lexus.. can’t believe I just said that 😂😂😂

I had a ‘94 740iL and it was my favorite car I’ve owned. It had a rare option of a refrigerator in the rear seat center console.

Made a bit of money and bought a second hand e38 740i Individual when I was in my early 20s and to this day it was the best car I ever had. It wasn't that old but it had 400.000 kilometers. All services done at the dealership. Fast, comfortable and super reliable. Not a single issue.
Got a few years old low milage e66 after that. Absolute sh*tbox. Only had it for 3 months. Switched brand after that car and never vent back

I bought a used 2002 ls 430 for 2200 USD in 2018, best purchase I've ever made. Some annoyances here and there (timing belt and pump replacement was almost 1k, fuel injectors need to be replaced fairly often) but this car has gone above and beyond.

I had a 2005 Lexus GS430 years ago, I have had many newer model Lexus' since... and while they were good, the GS would have had to be my favourite. Featured everything, engine was awesome, enough grunt for a daily and they are relativley cheap now and often forgot about.
