In this video I will walk you through how to find horizontal and vertical asymptotes of rational functions. To find the asymptotes of a rational function, look for where the denominator is equal to zero. This is where you will find vertical asymptotes. To find horizontal asymptotes, you need to look at the end behavior of the function.

This process used to analyze a rational function can then be used to understand what the graph of the rational function looks like!

I thought if the numerator and the denominator had the same degree, then the coefficient of the numerator and denominator divided is the horizontal asymptote. Which would mean 1 as the horizontal asymptote.
