SO I bought a brand new Ps4 Slim my local wal-mart had 4, they have 2 left last I checked. Insane they had them it was the Call of Duty MW2 bundle. Great buy got it for $250. I'm happy. Also thing to point out is with 4k tv you still get HDR support on Slim.

I bought the original PS4 on launch day back in November 2013 and still play it to this day. Was originally going to buy the PS5 at launch but held off and then couldn't get one due to the delays, but after seeing my friends PS5s for a good couple of years I've decided I don't actually NEED one at the moment. The PS4 still looks amazing graphically and has so many games. Also - note to all PS4 owners who've had them a while and they now run hot make loads of fan noise, follow a guide on YT on how to service your PS4 and reapply the thermal paste, your PS4 will go back to working like its brand new again - I can vouch for that considering my launch model is still going strong today.

The live service game is supporting the ps4, I think it will still be support until at least 2026, but once the live service game is unsupported on this platform, I don't think it's still worth it anymore

Some people in south America and Africa can't afford the ps5 so they buy a ps4 in 2024 🙄

If wait times are a big problem (which for PS4, they kind of care lol) then just get yourself an SSD... I got one of the newer Samsung 4TB SSD's and I couldn't be happier. It's lightening fast now... for example, Cyberpunk 2077 used to take like 5 minutes or so to load into the game, and now it only takes seconds. Highly recommended. :)

it might not be better than a ps5 but a ps4 pro for $200 is a good deal as its still a powerful console and it supports loads of games. plus there arent enough games that put the real capabilities of the ps5 up to this date so for those like me who havent played the classics a 4pro is a good startin point

Im a collector, so keeping the pro was going to happen regardless if i used it. That said, i still use it all the time. For whatever reason i prefer playing games on their intended hardware, so i play all my ps4 and psvr games on the pro and save the ps5 for it's own library. I actually played the ps4 today for about 5 or 6 hours on Rise of the Tomb Raider

I love the controller when it lights up and vibrates when there's a rubble or when you are getting shot in the games. It really immerses you into the game. 😊

I still have over 200 games installed in my PS4 that I haven't played yet. Most of these games take 40-80 hours to complete, that's why it'll take some time for me to finish them, and I will need to keep purchasing add-ons to the game for complete experience. So yes, it's still worth it especially when you're purchasing digital games, since most of them are on sale

I think those who don't have money for ps5 or ps5 slim should really buy ps4. The console is full of good games, so sometimes playing some gran turismo or similar game is really a good idea to have such a console. Here in Europe, there are plenty of people who still play PS3 consoles.

I've upgraded to ps5 from ps4 pro on Christmas and like 2 months before Christmas I had put a wd blue 1 tb ssd in my ps4 pro and it makes a difference I recommend every player do this and watch how it changes it. Side note since Christmas I haven't played my ps4 pro only cause ps5 is way more silent but I had my ps4 since 2018 so it put in its work to get loud sometimes hahaha

I still own my PS4 Pro console due to financial reasons same time this economy inflation will not leave no time soon until either they cut the price down or they will stop making ps4 games that’s when I start transitioning to the PlayStation 5 console.
