Fun fact and sad fact about this pilot is that girl who voiced Timmy in this pilot Mary Kay Bergman also voiced almost every female character in South Park from season until season 3 where she sadly took her own life may she rest in peace 😢🕊️

No, this did actually air on Nickelodeon. There used to be a series called OK Cartoons where creators would send in their pilots, and the child audience would decide if the show would go ahead or not. Although this was the pilot for the Fairly Odd Parents, there were also multiple other shorts like this, but I have to admit, the shorts feel so much more serious than the show

allow me to correct bro rq cause he got 2 crucial things wrong:

first, pilot actually aired on tv as apart of nick's oh yeah cartoons block which was basically dedicated to showing pilots for potential cartoons, fairly odd parents ended up being the most succesful one out of them having 10 shorts before getting aproved for a whole show

second, most of the voice actors are the same, the only one who is different is timmy, who was voiced by mary kay bergman and not by tara strong like in the actual show, the reason the recast happened was because sadly mary kay bergman took her own life before the show came into production out of fear of loosing her voice acting talent

Cosmo has always had the same voice actor he just changed the pitch and tone of the voice to sound different, the only one i can think of who has an entierly different voice would be timmy, but thats because his original boice actress sadly passed away in 1999 leading the studio to recast his role .

Correction: It did make it to Nickelodeon, it aired on Oh Yeah Cartoons as shorts that would be pilots for future shows like Chalkzone etc. And Dean Norris was the same voice actor for Cosmo in the pilot and the actual show, just rhey changed up his voice to make him more goofy.
