You do realize that there are multiple endings to the series which depends how you look at it.

Funny thing is this movie came out in 2004 and the future scene with his kids was 20 years after that. That means this year (2024) is the same year as the future scene with his kids.

Well I remember something about him remembering them still so maybe he neglected his kids so they could have God parents. Timmy is a great parent

This isn’t quite right.
Timmy does remember Cosmo and Wanda, because the first thing he does after looking at the two Goldfishes is smiling warmly and after that, he puts the Photo into his Chest Pocket, so he has them near his Heart.
He leaves his Kids and does not care about the Vicky-Bot, because he knows that Cosmo and Wanda are watching over his Kids and they‘ll have a blast together.

He didn’t forget them and knows they are still around, even if he can’t interact with them directly and address them for who they really are.

It’s the best possible ending the Show could have.
