AJ and Chester had more personality than all of the "newer characters " combined.

He was a boy band stereotype when boy bands where at their prime.

You forgot to mention of how the Anti-fairies was replaced by Anti-Poof or how Crocker/Timmy's Dad kept showing up in almost every episode of the later seasons. They were favored among the other supporting casts.

Dude don't forget how in season 7, Butch replaced Vicky with Crocker which made absolutely no sense considering the fact that she appears in the theme song not him.

This is what is known as “Chuck Cunningham Syndrome”, and though Fairly Oddparents isn’t the only show that disregards old characters, it’s one of the most documented for sure, given how jarring it is to see no old secondary characters return.

It reminds me of SvtFoE when they stopped using Alfonzo and Ferguson as Marco's friends as he started to hang out with Star's friends, and it was just by season 2 when they practically became background characters.

Actually, I heard the reason Trixie Tang became used less was due to her voice actress, Dionne Quain, slowly retiring. Due to being blind, she had to have scripts written in Braille, and that might have been what lead her career to take an early leave in the mid 2010s. It's also why Kimi is the only Rugrat to be recast in the reboot.

Don't know about the other characters however.

The last we seen of Francis was the episode when the family was stuck on a deserted island and back at school Crocker squashes Francis with a giant F.
