This helped because my cat is deaf he we found him with bugs eating him form the inside and we didn’t think he was gonna make it and the vets were closed so we gave him somewhere warm to die but now he’s the most lovable cat anyone could ever bond with

This was the first thing i taught leading into clicker training for my old man. It's also a great "hey we're just playing riiiight?" check in moment.

I am all over the point! I call it the finger handshake. I do it a bit from a distance and it’s like an invitation to come over, sniff, and accept a pet. If there’s been a conflict (cat had to get it’s nails clipped, take a pill, or get off the plant shelf) it’s like a little check-in.
“We good?”
“We good.”

I am careful not to ‘abuse’ the point in that I don’t use it to trick them to come closer to grab them for something unpleasant. It’s been a useful tool. :)

That sign language, in ASL... I got "how, bitch, cat, 5 & 3" lol

Whenever you meet a new cat and you are trying to show them that you respect their bounderys. Use this as well (at a distance and with a turned head/ no eye contact). If they run, that's a no. If they stop and think about it, you have made a connection.

That was pretty close to perfect for asl ( American sign language)

This is my greeting maneuver, I say “Boop it” i then use it to show them something along. The poke, the touch and then “toys” and some form of chase or play. I figure I can also get them to tattle, as a group. “Who did this?” Has caused the same cat to be touched repeatedly. So, I like this one.

I learned this one by accident years ago whilst trying to boop my kitty's nose.

Even before this video, I have always stuck out my figure to my cat, name Hershey, and he moves his face foward so I can boop his nose 😂

This explains so much because my cat just nuzzles me when i point out treats right at his feet 😅

Yes this is how I typically great a curious cat. Finger out, they can approach and sniff if they want to.
